Summary: I have an older ASUS laptop and this one is certainly an improvement in some ways. I have had the laptop for a little over a month now. I bought it online without testing it/seeing it first. First, it is much faster upon start up and waking back up from "sleep." It also has more storage, which is nice. The reason I am giving this computer only 2 stars is the touchpad is extremely sensitive and keeps randomly zooming in and out.
Summary: So far, a very fast and nice laptop. I have one major, huge complaint though: the display is TERRIBLE. And I mean terrible. Its very dull and the colors are just straight up ugly. I'm seriously considering buying a monitor to use this laptop. Taking this laptop outside is literally the worst. The maximum brightness is ridiculously low. I guess I can't use this thing outdoors? My old 2010 Macbook Pro had 10x more crisper display than this.
Summary: We bought this because my husband wanted a touch screen laptop. Unfortunately, Windows 8 is a horrible operating system and makes us want to cry. The hardware itself is fine - another quality ASUS product - but the horror that is Windows 8 makes this laptop a punishment to work with.
Poor spare part availability. Cannot find a batterry.

Summary: I am running into a battery problem for this laptop. It has less than 3 months, but the batterry is falling to charge. I am looking for a replacement. But I cannot find the right battery for it.
Excerpt: Bought this Asus laptop for my consulting business and it is the worst computer I have ever owned. period. Lucky I still have my old trusty 4yr old laptop as a backup. My new Asus has been stuck in a reboot loop for the third time after it started doing a Windows update and locked up. I am not sure if it's Asus I should be mad at or Microsoft. But I will say this combination of computer and Windows 8 is not ready for consumers.
