SECOND UPDATE TO: I loved it so much, until... and except...
5 November 2014
Summary: SECOND UPDATE: Finally got my ASUS notebook back from its second trip to their repair center - - and they'd just tossed it into a cardboard box, without being properly seated in any kind of support - - so it bounced around loose while being shipped back to me, across the country. Unbelievable. UPDATE: I received the notebook back from being repaired, today - - and it doesn't work. The plug now stays in the jack, but the computer doesn't recognize that it's plugged in.
Summary: I wish I'd knew this before purchasing. I really love this laptop, it is beautiful and it is amazing, except for two important reasons you should know. First, the adapter sparks every time you plug it to the outlet. This is really scaring, once you don't want your quite expensive (and overpriced) laptop to be damaged. Second, after a month it stopped working properly, only 3 days after I could return it.
Summary: The laptop delivered to me was having many issues namely :- 1. Crashed with blue screen. 2. Internet Drop connection. 3. PC slowness when performing programming task.(As compared to my older PC which has lower configuration). The PC was returned to the seller but they are not ready to accept the issue and deducted 10% of the cost. NOT HAPPY with the reseller, I am a Computer S/W engineer and know when the computer has actual issue.
Summary: Within a half hour from opening the box, malware rendered the computer useless. The manufacturer should have set security settings higher on default. Returned the item. Waste of time. Got an Apple.
Screen cracks and touch screen stops responding a little over a month after purchase!
