Summary: Pros: processor, disk space, touchscreen (sometimes) Cons: space bar is faulty, noticeably less responsive than all other keys. Very annoying. Sonic master is garbage. The two main speakers are on THE BOTTOM of the machine, for whatever reason. They are loud but muffled by the retarded placement choice. The sound bar in front (which is also the battery?) is very weak and easily distorted by the slightest treble. The track pad.
Summary: I bought this laptop in September since I will be going back to college online. I have an asus eee notebook for the past 5 years that I love so I thought I would stick with Asus since it seemed their computers are reliable. The touch screen and the touchpad are difficult to use. Since I am more used to a touchpad and keyboard I tend to use them the most.
Summary: The keyboard. Beware the keyboard. It is not high quality in any sense. The keys are alright to use, but the spacebar on mine was terribly defective and way too hard to depress. It seems to be a common problem with these, watch out. Otherwise the laptop is moderately high quality in build and feels and looks nice. Would purchase one if the keyboard didn't let the whole thing down.
Summary: The screen gets compression spots where the liquid is pushed aside and the back glass touches the front glass. Also, my computer randomly went dark for two days. I fixed it by electrostaticly discharging it.
Very good build quality and screen - compromises on speed and performance

Summary: If you want a cheap (£3-400 is cheap for a new laptop of this spec), and don't mind if it's slow but does most things you need. Then it's ok. I found waiting for apps to load, mouse clicks to register too slow. The screen and general build is good quality. You have to load all the Microsoft updates and updates to fix the issue you will get trying to upgrade to Windows 8.1, which is a must. Once you get to Windows 8.1 (comes pre-installed with 8.0).
Great laptop but the spacebar doesn't work as it should

Summary: I bought this for my wife, who is a touch typist, and needed a good keyboard for writing and preparing documents. At first glance, and upon initial usage of the laptop, it looked great, was quick to start up, and generally we thought this was going to be a great laptop. However when my wife started typing a document she noticed the spacebar was not sensitive and had to be pressed a few times for it to work, which is not good for a touch typist.
Excellent laptop/hardware for the money but for Windows 8.

Summary: Spent time researching laptops, this came out best after the Amazon discount. Sadly did not consider the mess that is Windows 8, or 8.1 once its is upgraded. The new Metro interface is an abortion, only made usable by third party application that enable you to avoid its use. Try 'Classic Start Menu - a flexible start menu that can mimic the menu behavior of Windows 2000, XP and Windows 7' But for this option the operating system is not fit for use.
