Summary: Pro: 1. lightweight 2. good looking 3. 3rd Gen i7 4. 8 GB RAM 5. excellent price 6. low heat generation 7. touchscreen 8. great audio Con: 1. missing a screw at the bottom (it is a used laptop) 2. VGA and HDMI ports are too close that you cannot use both unless you cut a part of VGA plug off 3. Replace the HDD drive with SSD drive is a pain. You have to change the BIOS (multiple times) and the Windows registry to make the SSD being recognized and works on AHCI. 4.
Summary: Hi, This note book is a replacement for my original purchase. The first one did not work properly from the first time it was plugged in, it went to ASUS REPAIR TWO TIMES AND WAS ALMOST ON THE THIRD TRIP when amazon agreed to replace it. The replacement is great, NO PROBLEMS thanks so much for the help.
Nicely Equipped and Featured, but Received Defective Unit

Summary: I bought this as a gift. Installed MS Office and the recipient began using it. She really liked the touchscreen functionality, but was not a big fan of Windows 8 (not ASUS's fault). Nice laptop, very thin, acceptably light, crisp display. Unfortunately, we received a defective unit. I suspect there was a weak connection somewhere as the display randomly flicked off to black and would reappear suddenly.
The computer is really good, but the one that I received came with some minor problems.

Summary: I just got the product and im using it for the first time while I right this review. Overall, the computer is really good, beautiful design, fantastic touchscreen and I like windows 8 with touch. However, the computer that I received came with some problems that Im gonna be listing here: 1) The touchpad does not work completely.
Summary: I was really hoping to like this laptop. I bought it to replace my 5 year old Dell, so I thought anything would be an improvement, but I returned it two days later. I just needed a good laptop that would work well for basic home and work use. The touch screen seemed to work really well for the short time I had it and definitely made using Windows 8 a little better. To be honest, the thing that bugged me the most, and in the end the reason I returned it, was the keyboard.
Summary: I got this about a hour ago and as for the functionality of the laptop I can not say much yet because I have not had it very long, but what I can say is that what is listed on Amazon for the spec is incorrect. I doesn't come with a Core i7 4500u processor, it comes with a Core i7 3537u, also it does not have a 1TB hard drive it is only a 500GB hard drive. I have not decided yet if I am going to return it or not but I am going to wait a day and see it it works out for me.
Summary: over all this is a good laptop, however something that really irritates me is that not so long after buying it the track pad (mouse) keeps on getting stuck, but i use a portable mouse anyway so it not that big a deal but it does get annoying sometimes.
Summary: The overall build and feel of this laptop is good except for the keyboard. The keys and tactile feedback feel really cheap however this is offset by the screen which has good colors (for this price point) and is responsive to touch. I would have given this laptop 4 stars if the keyboard was better, not sure how long it's going to last in heavy usage.
