Summary: Asus has done it again. the resolution on this machine is phenomenal. it's so fast, and the two SSD's and 8GB of RAM (plus the independent, not shared video memory) make it great for work. I'm a computer programmer, so I need a lot of speed and need more screen visible at once.
Summary: I've had nothing but great experiences with Asus laptops in the past, so when it came time to buy a new one, picking this guy was a no-brainer. Ordered it off of a customization site with 12 GB RAM, and there's no denying it: this laptop is a superpowered beast that puts a lot of desktops to shame.
Summary: An excellent, powerful laptop, with a beautiful screen: exactly what I wanted. Though I suppose a touchscreen would be nice to make the most of Windows 8, whose Metro interface is gimmicky and much less useful without one.
Very Nice Ultrabook. Powerful, Sleek, and Nicely made. Don't Know what people were talking about with loud fan or slow speed
8 November 2013
Summary: The Good: This is the best ultrabook/laptop build quality of any computer I've seen and is only rivaled by The Mac Book Pro The keyboard is very nice and I love the number pad. The 1080p display is nice and it worked great for me in direct sunlight. The ultrabook says it has a 2 second wake up from sleep and I think a 7 second wake up from shut down, and It's not lying. In the reviews, I heard a lot about the fan and how it never stops and is very loud.
Summary: Incredible and every bit as powerful, or moreso, as the Apple MacBook Pro at considerably less cost. The Zenbook is beautifully crafted, and even Mr. Jobs would would find it a worthy competitor. Easily, the nicest laptop out there.
Summary: ASUS continues to exceed my expectations. It has all the fine quality attributes I found in my original ASUS Tablet. - Excellent screen viewing with clear sharp image. - Great color. - Quick startup. - Good battery life (I have no idea what total battery life might be; I have never exhausted the battery charge.) - Style - impressive! A very nice performing piece of equipment and of a pleasing style.
Summary: This laptop was great until I made the mistake to update it to Win 8.1. There are issues with the drivers at this point (23 of October 2013) . My advice is to check the drivers page for win 8.1 on the official asus support page. Especially, check if there is a software version for the trackpad - it no longer has gestures after the update. Also, I have some issues with the graphics - it is crisp in windows, but on third party apps it is blurry. Wait to update.
Summary: The Laptop: Is amazing and everything I expected. It's super fast with a 3 second boot time and runs everything very smoothly. A word of caution, I tried to downgrade the OS to Windows 7 and not all the drivers were compatible. The Nexus 7 Tablet: I feel like this was just a throw in. The newer versions are all minimum 16GB but the one included is 8GB. The Package: Comes with the laptop, chargers, manuals, Nexus tablet AND SUBWOOFER.
Summary: I bought this laptop because I needed the extremely high resolution for work and I thought it had the highest/best resolution on the market. It has lived up to my expectations. The screen is beautiful and I can get a ton of information into a 15 inch screen. When I am not using it for work, I change the setting on the computer to 125% and that still looks good even thought it's not the recommended setting.
Summary: This computer is great. It's basically the closes thing to a Macbook Pro Retina that you can get without the Mac OS and price. Since I wasn't sure before I bought this PC I will provide a little insight for those that might be looking to add memory or update the wireless. Both can be done pretty easily with a torx bit and removal of the two rear feet under the computer.
