Cons: Motherboard replaced twice due to poorly designed input, used 99.9% on desktop, never unconnected the power, yet Motherboard had to be replaced by slackjawed Asus support droolers at month 13, and again at month 27.
Summary: I bought my Ultra book from Asus as a Refurbished unit. Out of the box I had a lot of problems, and am currently in the process with Asus Support. VERY nice build for a Windows Ultra book, but there are some issues: -Rubber feet on the bottom of the laptop are falling off, they were not attached...
Summary: I have had a terrible experience with this computer. A coworker and I both ordered this and have had to send them in for maintenance within 6 months. My hard drive burned out (and I lost everything) and her battery completely stopped working. The wireless connection is abysmal.
Unreliable Product and EVEN MORE Unreliable Warranty and Customer Service
Ramraj S., Newegg
24 March 2014
Pros: Was great while it worked.
Cons: Completely stopped working in about 3 months. Would not power up. Worst part of it, having to deal with Asus's customer service. I spent my personal money to ship overnight. Asus received it on a morning and did not log it in the system until six (6) days later. It's still sitting there for almos...
Summary: They agreed to an RMA on my laptop model (similar to this one), and their website indicates they will provide status on the RMA within 1 business day of receipt and will typically complete repairs within 5-7 business days.
ASUS HARDWARE EVENTUALLY DIES AND ASUS DISRESPECTS WARRANTY!!
Anthony B. Kwan "A. Kwan", Amazon
25 February 2014
Summary: After several months of using this laptop, the hard drives were not functioning properly and my computer kept crashing. I sent the laptop to ASUS warranty for the first time only to have it returned with my 2nd solid state drive (SSD) still broken. Yes. STILL BROKEN!!
Summary: After a lot of research, I found this is probably the best laptop money can buy. I ordered the laptop, and received a fully functional, prfect machine. It's fast, it's beautiful, and it's incredibly light. A month later, problems started cropping up - software crashing, files getting deleted, etc.
Summary: One year later and I can't say enough bad about the laptop that I originally loved. Please do yourself a favor and pass ASUS by unless it is for a cheap Android tablet.
Pros: See my previous two posts
Cons: See my previous two posts. Note that I planned to take this laptop to a client site where I would be leaving it in meeting rooms and sometimes unattended cubicles. I was shocked that there is no Kensington lock on this thing. OK if ASUS charged $200, but they don't. Wow, what a lack of profession...
Pros: great design. very fast boot times - when it worked.
Cons: 1. Would not power on reliably. Despite having fully or nearly fully charged battery sometimes it would not turn on or resume from sleep. 2. Dent in the bezel below the LCD. Asus clearly spent lots of time on the box. I wish they spent as much time on quality control. I sent this back to Newegg a...
