Summary: First off, I bought this used through Amazon Warehouse Deals. The laptop arrived in perfect physical condition, but it had a few defects. The graphics card would cause the screen to flash and also give an error message occasionally. The battery also would not charge, but laptop could still be used while plugged in. I ended up sending it in to an Asus Service Center where all the issue were fixed free of charge.
Summary: I bought this for my wife who has very little time for messing around with computers. This laptop powers up and is ready to go in 4 seconds. (from shutdown to ready to log-in). The screen is amazing. It is also very quiet and does not get very hot. It is super light and battery life is great. I do not know what the other reviews are talking about. All around, this computer is top notch. It is expensive. But in this case you get what you pay for.
Best software development and photographic editing mobile machine I have ever had.

Summary: This is very cool machine! It has brilliant high DPI non-touch display (2880x1620). It has backlit keyboard. Flash drive is in RAID0 and delivers up to 1000Mb/sec transfers! It has NO internal Intel HD 4000 video card, but only his nVidia Geforce GT 650 which has 2Gb + 2Gb shared video memory. Notebook has good thermal conductivity and it is very confortable even on high GPU demand. Internal sound is excellent! Best notebook sound I have ever heard.
Summary: They agreed to an RMA on my laptop model (similar to this one), and their website indicates they will provide status on the RMA within 1 business day of receipt and will typically complete repairs within 5-7 business days. They have had my laptop for over 20 business days, their service center has not posted any status, and their customer service call center tells me with great politeness (and no effectiveness) every day that it has been escalated to a supervisor and...
ASUS HARDWARE EVENTUALLY DIES AND ASUS DISRESPECTS WARRANTY!!

Summary: After several months of using this laptop, the hard drives were not functioning properly and my computer kept crashing. I sent the laptop to ASUS warranty for the first time only to have it returned with my 2nd solid state drive (SSD) still broken. Yes. STILL BROKEN!! When I called to have it sent it again for a 2nd time so they can replace this second faulty SSD, they return it STILL broken again.
Summary: After a lot of research, I found this is probably the best laptop money can buy. I ordered the laptop, and received a fully functional, prfect machine. It's fast, it's beautiful, and it's incredibly light. A month later, problems started cropping up - software crashing, files getting deleted, etc. I reinstalled Windows, and all was well - for two days. Then the problems returned.
Summary: VERY faulty power cable connection. Mine is already loose, so even if my power cable moves out 1mm I loose power. I investigated the forums and people reported that it will eventually break. ASUS denies warranty repairs. VERY faulty HDMI connection. It is very hard to insert a HDMI cable and I hear it cracking inside. Video works only if I press on the cable. RAID 0 with 2 SSD disks. Which means that if one of those 2 disks dies I loose my system forever.
