Summary: This is a very solid feel (physically) machine. Aluminium feel is fantastic. I really liked the form factor. keyboard was so nice. Simply probably one of the most beautiful and solid feel machine. THE BAD: first one crashed (apparently it was the SSD) after two weeks of extremely light use. It was my new baby so I did not use it that much. So I contacted the seller (not Asus) and they very generously replaced it. The second one also failed after 3 weeks.
Summary: I bought this from the Microsoft store, and I fared better than people here in that it lasted more than four weeks before it couldn't boot up anymore. Took it to the store and the computer was not able to recognize its own hard drive. Luckily, I was still eligible for a refund through Microsoft. If I did not have the booting issue, I would still give it four stars.
It's a lemon and from the looks of the other reviews they're ALL LEMONS!

Summary: Great laptop but broke for the 2nd time on its own with a BSOD. I can't login again. I want a refund but I'm just past the window [Edit: Amazon let me return it for a refund because of the circumstances]. I called Asus for support and they asked for my Microsoft password to log in to the machine even though I can't. I refused. I'm really disappointed in this laptop and that Asus would actually make such an unreasonable request.

Summary: When I first received it there were some issues with updates, it took around 20 hrs to install the 90+ updates! Since then it has been working really well, I run lots of programs simultaneously for work and it is super fast. The boot up time is really fast and the screen/graphics are great. The web cam/microphone is also really good and clear for teleconferencing. I would highly recommend this laptop for anyone who wants a sleek, light, work-suitable ultrabook.
Summary: Pros: Very nice design, beautiful computer overall. Fast computer, I didn't had time to use it much, but while it work it was fast, felt good. Cons: Within a week when opening lid after suspension the computer got frozen and I had to reboot, sometimes the BIOS menu was opened instead of windows, and after another week windows didn't start and was in recovery mode. In Recovery mode the C: drive couldn't be found and only x: drive letter (recovery partition) was found.
Summary: I had an older version of this system for work, and bought my own recently. The design is beautiful, approaching perfection for an Ultrabook. Unfortunately, a week or so into use, the system began to crash and reboot sporadically. It would also not wake up from sleep properly, or crash when going into sleep mode, reboot into the BIOS and run hot in your laptop bag. Occasionally it would freeze when waking up from sleep or hibernate.
Summary: I had heard great things about Asus. But when I got this machine and started it up, I discovered that contrary to the sticker on the screen and contrary to the manufacturer's specifications, it did not have a touch screen and, I believe, never had one. I verified this through a very long phone call with Asus Support, which also did not impress me. Three pieces of advice: 1. Amazon should stop selling this model computer in this lot.
Summary: This is the second Zenbook I've had. It's a better option for me than an Apple product because of the versatility of Windows 8.1. I wish the price was a little lower to be more competitive in their market niche. I buy a lot of laptops for my company and this is the higher end model that is asked for. It may not be as sexy as a Surface 3 Pro but is great for heads down computing. You can't beat the weight either if you are a road warrior.
