Summary: I love ASUS. I have sought out their products for a long time. This machine is almost perfect, except for one huge glaring flaw. The track-pad is virtually useless. The track-pad intermittently doesn't work and requires rebooting to fix it.
Lots of Reason to Like it, but Keyboard is Really Bad
16 December 2012
Summary: Pros: Fast Looks great Good battery life Seems well made Great sound system for such a compact computer Haven't noticed any fan noise Never gets very hot Not too much bloatware BUT... Cons: Keyboard is the worst I've ever experienced. About 5% of my keystrokes do not register.
Summary: First of all, the laptop itself is good and pretty much what I expected, with two exceptions: 1) The trackpad gets in the way sometimes and you will hit it with your palm while typing and begin typing somewhere else on the page inadvertently. 2) The keyboard takes some getting used to.
Only 72gb Real Memory, Hardware Prob, Poor Support, NON STOP PROBLEMS!

Summary: Disaster From the start. On my 2nd replacement in 20 days!!! (provided by AMAZON, not ASUS wh can't care less. Out of 256 GB advertised, only 72 gb are actually available for you! I called the ASUS tech support (after searching for a day fo their number) 877-339-2787.
Summary: I received my zenbook yesterday. I am generally very happy with its looks and everything. It does look amazing and the sound is very good. The keyboard will take some getting used to. It does miss the occasional keystroke, but maybe with time I can get used to it.
Summary: Researched this unit from release date.. Had a Mac Air, and my son at Purdue decided he needed it for his Nuclear Eng class more than i did... LOL First of all, i liked the looks, and feel. It was sturdy and very elegant,. Wide bezel around the screen, was a bit much.
I really want to love this, but... (and women buyers take note!)

Summary: I'm sorry to report that I am among the disappointed buyers who simply cannot make the keyboard work for me. I average one typo for every 3 words, a completely untenable hit on my productivity, for a typist who can usually hit 70+ wpm.
Summary: I just got my zenbook today, and I'm typing this review with it. I so badly wanted this to work--I love the form factor, I love the battery life, and I love the speed. Here is why I couldn't give it more than two stars.
