Summary: Pros: -Intel Core i3-380UM Dual Core Processor handles anything you need to at low voltage, but it can kick it into turbo if it absolutely needs to. -Low voltage processor allows for long battery life. Battery saving mode turns the brightness down and puts on a battery saving desktop. I've gotten around 7 hours out of this thing on one charge. -Does not get hot. This is an important factor when dealing with something that half the time may be sitting on your lap.
Summary: I was in the market for a laptop I could use during class which meant several things First, it had to be portable. Asus did a great job on this. It's small, compact, and very light Next, I had to have something that I could use throughout the day without having to worry about running out of battery. Again, Asus did a fine job here. Lastly, I needed something fast. Fast as in startup and loading programs. Asus did a fine job at this.
Summary: Great laptop. Small and thin to carry around yet the screen is big enough to work with. Fast speed and great for web browsing. It has all the necessary ports. The exterior is stylish. I highly recommend it. Customer service is not bad but a bit busy if you need them.
Summary: The size and weight are somehow satisfying, but the running speed is a little bit slow. I wouldn't recommend it, unless you are lacking in budget. I think a CPU at above 2.0GHz will be much better.
Summary: I got this laptop one month ago after coming to the US. I wanted a small, thin, not heavy laptop and I got it. I need it for some coursework, preparing presentations, mailing, skype, storing pictures etc. This is so nice to carry along in my backpack wherever I go! O.K. the keyboard was a little strange in the beginning bu I got used to it fast. It was set up instantly, the only thing I need to do is sit down and play with it.
Summary: Although I liked the size and weight of this laptop, It felt a little fragile. The whole keyboard gives when you press any key (especially in the middle of the keyboard), and the battery seems to run out of juice too soon (even when selecting the proper power scheme). Sorry, but it had to go back to Amazon, then I went with the HP "g" series with an i3/4GB/500GB/14" for $449, which I am very happy with (It looks and feels great)!
Summary: Pros: -cheap for a laptop of this size and power -great for everyday browsing -bought this for the portability, very light at just over 3 pounds -metal lid -very responsive keyboard -fast shipping via ONTRAC -havent had the time to check actual battery life but i estimate its about 4 hours surfing the we etc -ok speakers didnt expect too much from them -this is just a side computer as i have a main laptop for gaming etc Cons: -only 2gb ram -not the best screen, blacks...
Summary: I bought this as a replacement for a Sony Viao 13.3"(severe overheating issues) laptop for my fiancée to write her thesis. At first I was going to buy her a netbook because they are cheaper but after some intense searching I stumbled upon this model on newegg and it happened to be sold out, so I clicked on it looked at the specs and was immediately impressed for the advertized price.
Summary: I wanted something a bit bigger than my old Asus netbook, and also something that didn't run the truncated Windows 7. I was very close to getting a Macbook Air, but saw this on sale. At half the price of an Air, it clinched the deal (and I wasn't quite ready to port all my apps to Mac OS). Not much heavier than the Asus Eee, and still a 4 hour battery. Pleased so far.
