Summary: When you type a document you find youself in differend lines suddenly... there is some sensitivity in keybord that gives order to move cursor to different place. very anoying. Other than that the computer is good but this is so anoying that I gave 3 stars.
Summary: I bought this laptop because of the specs and the pricing itself. I got the laptop and it ran fine for three to four months. Then, all of a sudden, the wireless adapter stopped working and I had to buy an external one. I kept using it and then after another two months, the hibernate resume stopped working, and only works 50% of the time. Other than that, it works great.
Summary: This was not the computer I ordered in the first place. There was a mix up in the listing ad I looked at the 15.6 screen and decided I wanted the 14 that's what I have been using for a number of years now . Also I didn't like the number keys to the right of the keyboard. because Most every time I would go to hit the right or left keys at the bottom of the touch screen mouse pad I would hit the right instead of the left and have to back up and correct what task that key...
Summary: The letters (9 of them) are gone or almost gone. Called Asus as my laptop is still under warrenty and was told the disappearing letters are not covered. My old laptop, a 7 year old Toshiba, has only 3 letters faded or gone. This laptop is not quite a year old! The speakers are terrible, too. Overall, it is a good machine but wished they would have paid a little more attention to details, specifically more durable paint and better speaker quality.
Great laptop, but you can find better at this price range.

Summary: I bought this product about a year ago from a big box store for about $500 during a sale. Overall I have been very happy with the product. The greatest appeal to this laptop is it's power and it's battery life. On a full charge this thing can go about five hours. And while you may not have a the best processor or video card, I can still play games like Oblivion and Starcraft II on it at decent quality. Like others have said, the touch pad is a bit too sensitive.
Summary: Purchased for $630 at Best Buy Feb2012. Absolutely loved this laptop when compared to other similar units for the price. Unfortunately, after 3 months of breaking it in, I would recommend looking for something else. Wanted to get to the I5 processor level and wanted to get away from a history of HP purchases. ASUS had a good reputation so for the price, the U56E seemed like a great deal. I can't stress enough how absolutely annoying the touchpad is.
Summary: I got this computer nearly 4 months ago from Best Buy to use on my trip to the Middle East and then India. I needed something to transfer all of my music and movies as well as documents and programs I needed for school so I could work on my summer assignments while in India. I bought this from Best Buy, but I figured that people on Amazon needed to know about it. So here it goes..
