Summary: I decided to order this laptop after I looked at all the great review (e.g. PCMag Top 10 laptop) and customer good rating. I didn't have time to test the performance yet (game play) which is probably the best reason to buy it. On first look, everything seems to work well, Windows runs smoothly, can do multitask easily (internet, download, DVD burning and installing) without lag, speakers are OK. The DVD optical disk is silent (reading and writing).
Summary: This is my first laptop ever and so far I am not too disappointed. The good: The screen is brilliant, you can adjust the brightness and contrast quite easily and it is crystal clear, much more than a LCD monitor for a desktop. The battery life is pretty good, I get about 6 hours out of a full charge on battery saving, and about 4 hours on entertainment mode, which from my understanding is a lot more than you'd get out of another brand of notebook.
Summary: I just got my ASUS U41JF-A1 (Silver) today evening and I'm yet to explore it completely..So as of now I'm just gonna talk about my first day impression.. Looks - Impressive !!! It has a sleek profile and beautiful look that anyone will adore for sure. The aluminium exterior and the black interior goes pretty well together. The weight is optimum and you will not definitely complain about it.. Keyboard/Trackpad - Yes, this keyboard has a flex, but it didn't bother me.
Summary: My second asus as I just retired my old G51 and my friend that now has it is very happy. This is a beast for the price, the material and workmanship is much better than some are saying. Yes there is some flex, but come on it is a tiny rig that does it all. The keyboard is comfortable even with th little flex others are talking about, the truth is asus keyboards in general have flex at least the ones I have used.
Summary: My last four laptops have all been Asus and they've never let me down. I'm quite happy with my U41JF. It's light, fast, has amazing battery life, and has a nice bright screen, all at a great price. The i3-380m in here is faster than you'd think. The Super Hybrid Engine, which you can disable via the bios, overclocks the CPU to 2.9Ghz. Quite a nice boost. The Nvidia 425M is excellent and an great overclocker. I can clock it well over 435M speeds with no problem.
Big improvement over UL Series, one of the best laptops in its class

Summary: Update 3/4: Still loving this laptop, very fast and the battery life is amazing. Just found out that this laptop is the PC Magazines Editors Choice for Mainstream laptops, beating out the HP Envy and Macbook Pro! That should attest to how great this laptop is. Update 2/23: After doing some research I found out that this indeed does have Turbo Boost, but it's not as easily accessed by the end user, it's now in the BIOS instead of a software option.
