Summary: I bought this for my girlfriend who wanted a great, small, light laptop. This fits all of the above. It is stylish, light weight and has stood up to the test of time as all the ASUS products I have bought over the years. If you can find this discontinued laptop I would highly recommend it.
Excerpt: Eco-tech is defined by this product. A head turner, this elegently designed computer is a powerhouse and is very adept at using available resources. The powerful graphics card turns on and off automatically, allowing for prolonged use without worrying about energy. A revolutionary product.
Summary: I got this from BH Photo for five hundred dollars after the mail in rebate. I research long and hard and I think this gets you the best bang for your money at this price. Note that this used to be sold at a grand last year with all the specs included. Finding a similar spec laptop nowadaws will be very hard...but let me know if you find one. Here's what I like about this laptop: 1.
Summary: I love the laptop so far. Personally, the fact that it looks beautiful, and has incorporated natural, renewable materials instead of plastic, has made it easy to love this laptop. One thing to be aware of is the laptop weighs 4.5 lb (I weighed it myself), not 3.7 lb. It still feels pretty light and compact in my small messenger bag. I like the keyboard (although it makes a litte more noise than some) and found it nicer in layout than the Toshiba Portege.
Summary: I have tested most of the 13.3 inch laptops from market including Toshiba Portege and other. This is my favourite one for several reasons. PROS It is solidly build and the size is very portable. Bamboo finish looks elegant NVIDIA Dedicated graphics with Optimus Technology USB 3.0 for faster data transfer Bluetooth Intel WIDI works flawlessly Superb sound for an ultraportable CONS Touch pad is little small though I am used to it. No Multitouch support onboard.
Summary: It's light, fast and has a bright screen. Battery life is excellent. As a designer, I like to use hardware that's elegant, as well as powerful, and this fits the bill. It does tend to show fingerprints easily, whch detracts from the lovely brown bamboo surface. The keyboard is good, better than most pcs, but not as good as an Apple keyboard.
Summary: First off, the bamboo finish is fantastic. I love how it feels and looks. The newer i3 processor in it is comparable to most i5 processor out now, so it is fast. The laptop actually comes overclocked, so it is faster than stock intel. With the Super Hybrid Engine, you can actually underclock it a bit, extending the battery life. Even with it off, I can easily manage a single charge per day (battery life can easily do 9+ hours for office work).
Summary: well, my opinion is worth just about 2 cents. I know very little about fancy computery acronyms and memory and space....errr....soundcards.....my husband asked me, back in August, if I liked how this looked before purchasing for my business. I said yeah...it's nice...and not metal looking..different. It is also light weight, easy to surf the web, listen to itunes, load things via usb, like client marketing photos....I can work on my site...
