Summary: This is a very good looking, light, thin computer with a good amount of RAM (4 gigs) and a big harddrive (320 Gigs.)I'm glad it's got Windows 7 and not 8. It also costs short money: $400, roughly. There are two massive negatives with it: the hard drive is grindingly slow when you open the screen and it churns and churns for close to five minutes before everything's booted up and you can use it. Also, the processor is so slow you can barely stream video.
Summary: Over all the computer is for what i need it for, and that is for type papers and school work. (like) Keyboard (don't like) why, because not all of it works. I like that it's small laptop (like) I dont like and im not happy that the laptom was made in 2012, and the graphics are not good on it for video.
Summary: Item arrived fast and looking at the size of packing i was very happy.Everything started well but day by day i feel this getting slower in response. Size is good but not very sleek. Performance is not good, i have my old dual core Vaio that works better than this item. for the price its a good buy.
Summary: The laptop is a decent, cheap alternative to those super slim ultrabooks. And for the price, it seemed nice. HOWEVER... 1. I will second the report of another reviewer that the sound would fail. This only happened to me once, and after a reboot, it didn't happen again. 2. What did happen was that the power brick would get very very hot. After 3 days, it began to intermittently shut off (twice). Ultimately it began to give off a foul odor.
Summary: I thought I did get a small, rather sleek, computer, and I did, but was let down by cheap-ish details and that annoying clicking from the touchpad. EVERY TIME. It took me a couple of hours to realise that the Asus really wasn't what I wanted. Click. Click. Click. I ended up getting an iPad with a keyboard. All my documents are in the Dropbox on my home computer.
Summary: I received this notebook from Amazon the other day. Everything looked great and the setup was a snap. However, today I tried streaming the US Open tennis match from the web and was encountering some major lagging issues. At first I thought it was my internet connection, but on further inspection it turned out to be the CPU which was operating at 100% capacity. I then tried watching a few videos on Hulu and was getting similar results.
Summary: This laptop is really light and pretty. It's super thin and super light, and it's extremely portable. I'm taking this laptop to college, and this is so perfect. I'm so glad I bought it! However, the laptop itself seems to be very laggy and I have trouble watching videos on google chrome since the audio and the video are very choppy. The scrolling is also off.
Summary: this is a light-weight notebook that has good battery life; it had driver issues out of the box, but 3 calls to Asus tech's got that taken care of.; it is not as fast as I hoped it would be, but then I get upset if input is not instant; very nice looking case; overall, it is a little more satisfying than my 6 year old Acer.
