Summary: First off, I purchased this computer used through amazon, and I have to say how impressed I was. The laptop was listed as "very good" condition and ended up coming in Asus packaging, and looked like it had never been used before. Onto the computer itself, It's very reliable, and in the two days I've had it I'm amazed at its performance. It's almost as powerful as my desktop, but It's so light weight and compact.
Summary: This is a scrappy little bugger that has anything you would want. I am a college student and I was a little worried that it would be too small, but its size is perfect. Even gaming works great. Good screen, average sound quality, no qualms with the webcam or anything like that. The specs are great- especially for this price.
Summary: I bought this a few months ago for school and I love it. It's light, the battery lasts 8+ hours, and the keyboard is perfect! It can run games (like Diablo III). I've also never had to wait for it to load something or turn on. The screen's a little small (mostly vertically), but it's not a problem. It collects finger prints easily, like other people commented, but it's never bothered me.
Summary: The laptop does exactly what they say it does... Very fast, the nvidia card works very fine, the battery lasts about 8 hours (programming and using the browser much). The size is perfect for me and runs Ubuntu very well (except for the hdmi port but I expect that it will be fixed soon) Really a good invest...
Summary: This is my first Amazon review. Let me say that i've owned quite a few laptops this far and i'm a stundent of Computers Engineering in Argentina. I've purchased this laptop and had it shipped to my country by a private courier so you can imagine it took a while to arrive (around 3 weeks) and that's why i won't talk about amazon's shipping speed.
Summary: I just received my Asus U31S in the mail. I absolutely love my compact notebook, screaming fast compared to what I'm used too. Like the design but I would have liked a little more aluminum and less plastic. Pros: Runs fast (Once you get the Asus freebie junk off it) Overkill for most everyday school/business work. Light enough to take around with me. Runs very cool. Cons: Plastic hatch on the back was slightly opened when I received my laptop.
Summary: So I bought this laptop 2 weeks ago. I really like it, I bought it because it was the one with most bang for your buck. So the list of pros and cons. PROS: High quality internals. You can change your power options Video card Aluminum Finish Good keyboard Good battery Sleek and slim CONS: not very good sound You can see the fingerprints on the top The part above the keyboard is plastic and dont know if its made like that but mine came with that part slightly separated.
Summary: I originally started reviewing all the ultrabooks and found that the Toshiba R835-P94 13.3-Inch Laptop because it had all the features I was looking for including a built in CD player. Once I received the unit I found that it had an issue with the audio - it would glitch and change pitch even playing the sample songs that came with the system. I had it exchanged through Amazon and the replacement did exactly the same thing.
