Pros: My wife bought this as a Newegg combo sale with an Asus Tablet 11 months ago. I have deleted some of the included programs like McAfee Security Suite, Intel Anti-Theft, Wild Tangent Games, Instant ON, and the desirable but causing a fixed 0.77 Ghz processor speed Power4Gear. The unit work flawles...
Summary: Owned for 9 months. To use the touch screen, you need to reboot with the lid closed. Gained 80GB of hard drive space after uninstalling Windows. Shutdown now takes 3 seconds compared to 30 seconds with Windows. Boots are equally fast.
Pros: 2 fully independent LCD panels. One is touch. Perfect performer with Linux Mint with one catch - see comments. USB 3.0. Comes with a nice protective cover. Another great ASUS product.
Cons: Windows. Came with 8, upgraded to 8.1 within one week of ownership, and upgraded to Windows 10 last week. I hated 10, but don't want outdated software, so I upgraded to Linux. I think two LCDs are too much as I will never get full use of the touch LCD. The included USB LAN adapter is only 10/100.
Pros: Lightweight, Stylish, Speedy, Quiet, Fun to Use. To me this is truly a nice little laptop. For the price I'd say it's unbeatable. I wouldn't say it has the power for gaming, but as a laptop for browsing/work/etc. it really does the job well and easily.
Cons: Only complaint would be battery life is short-ish. It's not terrible in my opinion, probably 4-5 hours of use, which is good for me. Kind of big for tablet use (the 11" would be better for that), but I just use it as a laptop and so it doesn't bother me.
Pros: Its half the weight of my laptop but a little more that my old tablet. So far I have been able to run all my programs on it including office 2007. I like the USB3.0. I can use a 4 port USB hub with 2 thumb drives, my LAN connection, and the wireless mouse. when needed a USB optical drive.
Cons: No real down side yet other than it took all day to get updated to windows 8.1 and the LAN speed is 100 while the wireless gets a solid 144
Summary: I bought this for my wife and she loves it. She goes from laptop to tablet mode all the time, and she says the more she uses it the more she likes it. It does ok with very light games (zuma, slots, etc), but don't expect it to play games that are going to be much graphically intensive.
Pros: Lightweight, Reasonably speedy for normal stuff (browsing, playing videos, email), expandable storage
Summary: I am afraid that I will drop it and break the top screen. I'm not going to test how strong it is haha. everything seems to be working great if you update windows and all of your drivers.
Pros: It's both a tablet and a laptop. It's a really cool idea and it is working great. It is about as fast as I was expecting it to be. It's not fast enough to game on but if you're going to use in in class to take notes or give a presentation it is perfect.
Cons: It isn't the computer itself the but default app for note taking makes my handwriting look worse than it already is.
Pros: I am the CTO of a small computer networking firm. I have had hundreds of laptops come across my lap, and I must say, this is by far the best one i have owned. Having the ability to run both screens so that I can show a client how to operate their system while i work on mine is TREMENDOUS. the swi...
Cons: I can think of none, except i would like more RAM.
Summary: I wanted larger hard drive but I am too impatient to wait for it to come out. Make sure you update the drivers (2) before you upgrade to Win 8.1. For 2 screens it runs a while on battery power.
Pros: Great Keyboard, Screens have great resolution, Fast, and allot of interfaces, SD card, 2 USB, 2 video and it looks good. The price was great.
