Summary: ASUS warranty has been unbelievably difficult to work with. They wanted me to send back all 240 laptops to have them service the keyboard. They would "fix" the ones I sent back and then they had the exact same problem. If I send the keyboard back to be fixed - you think they would push the key after "repairing" it - but no they send it back still broken.
Pros: Only Pro is it is light.
Cons: These were bought by a previous technology director of the school I work at. He bought about 250 of these laptops spending well over $100,000 on them. They are complete junk. On 240 out of 250 of them the number 2 key sticks on the keyboard. We have had HDDs crash (thankfully I disabled SSD as I have heard nothing but issues with those), Wireless stop working, screws fall out of the laptop, USB ports break, VGA ports break out of the laptop, DVD drives break, and othe...
Summary: I ordered the ASUS S56CA 15.6" (500 GB, Intel Core i3 3rd Gen., 1.8 GHz, 4 GB) Ultrabook - Black - S56CA-WH31. It arrived at my home DOA. What else can I say after that? I returned it, along with everything else I purchased to go with it that same day. So after a lot of expenses I had NOTHING that I could actually use and I had to return everything so I could at least get most of my money back, Wonderful experience? Nope! I sure don't think so.
Summary: I cannot describe how much I hate this laptop. Ive owned it for 4 months. Flimsy chassis, intermittent keys sticking, overly sensitive touch-pad...on and on. Do not buy an Asus! I was told they were a better brand but not the case.
