Summary: Normally I have enjoyed everything I purchased through Amazon, particularly electronics and electronic accessories. But, I must have bought a lemon. Spent 2 days attempting to make it work, but it just would not work smoothly for me. No disrespect to Asus or Amazon. I believe it was just the particular unit purchased.
Summary: Twitchy and then died. Whether it is the Windows OS or the computer is difficult to tell, but for sure, the OS is completely gimmicky and not at all easy to use. Keeps checking for errors, and the big error is ever buying it. Amazon won't take it back. A pity but understandable. Neither would I.
Summary: Lots of energy and hours of work, life and productive activities wasted while trying to make that useless wifi device work on the phone with asus technical assistance. In the end i had to keep on working to send that useless thing back, and still without a computer. Please, save your valuable time and energy and forget about this product. Nobody will compensate you. The worst is that now I associate windows 8.1 with this experience.
Summary: Things break, I get that. Sometimes more than once. The measure of a company is how well they step up to support their customers and their recent purchases. Asus has failed in this. Not only has the purchase price been squandered, but a lot of time has been wasted repeatedly reloading applications and data only to lose them a week or two later. Will never buy another Asus product. ASUS = FAIL.
Pros: When it wasn't broken it worked okay.
Cons: Repeated (3!) hard drive failures. Asus refused to replace or look for root cause. It is currently back for repair and I have no confidence that it will be any more usable than the last time their robotic support blindly replaced a part.
Summary: Mainly, the touch pad on this computer is very poorly designed as well as the keys. I very much like the way this computer looks, it's symmetric and looks great, but typing makes it almost impossible. I have not used it for long enough to give a more detailed review.
Summary: This PC did not work ok since the first day. The trackpad looses its configuration every other day, I had to format it after 2 weeks of purchase it, and it goes off by it shelf once every 10 times i use it, it is not normal for a new computer. I wanted to give it a second chance but is inpossible to work or do something on it. The worst is that Amazon does not give me an option to return it or exchange.
Bad experience with this computer and this dealer.

Summary: I would rate it as zero star if possible. I bought this computer in Jan from Mirrorsystem on amazon at a price of $553. After I got it, I found something wrong with its battery. Without charging, it only last 2-3 hours(even during which I worked on Word, and searched the Internet. No video, no games). The most bizzar thing is, it would then die suddenly without any warnings about the battery, and u can't open it again if not plug in quickly.
Excerpt: ASUS product and service is extremely poor. Right after unpacking the laptop, I had problem. There was constant irritating noise coming from the hard disk. And the repair team was not able to fix my problem even in third attempt.
