Summary: Terrible quality screen if you're ever going to take it on a plane. Get large oily-like amoeba spot in between layers after flying. See http://youtu.be/uIYagw70k1A. Clearly a design defect, but Asus support is noooooooo help. They'll RMA it for you, and replace it with another defectively designed screen which will work until you fly.
Summary: I've have had a terrible experience with this computer. Two days after I received it I started having problems with the screen, now after sending for repairs for the THIRD time my issue is still unresolved. Their costumer service has been more than unhelpful in helping solve this problem. I've also had troubles with the multiple finger gestures with trackpad.
Summary: I would highly encourage a potential buyer to spend his/her money elsewhere. I purchased this computer as I was trying to finish graduate school, as I needed to use a newer version of a statistical software program. After receiving it and realizing how slow it was, I was considering returning it. However, as I needed it for coursework, I just struggled through with it. It would freeze up with only 2-3 internet browser tabs, a PDF viewer, and maybe one word document open.
Summary: Last December 2013 I bought my ASSUS Vivo Book S400CA at Amazon US. The computer arrived fine and as I was told it came with Windows 8. One month after I got it, I did the upgrade to windows 8.1. After two months the computer did not allow me to shut down. Every time I wanted to shut down the PC I got a blue screen and an error message. The only way to shut down the computer was to “suspend it”. During the past 4 months the problems have been increasing.
Summary: I have never had a worse computer than this one. The mouse started screwing up a month after I purchased it and I could not get the support website for Asus to go anywhere. I contacted them on Twitter and even though I explained the first time that their website did not work, their response was ,"Have you tried our support website to help you with your problem?" This company is a joke. If I want to get help from them, I have to provide the serial number.
Summary: Normally I have enjoyed everything I purchased through Amazon, particularly electronics and electronic accessories. But, I must have bought a lemon. Spent 2 days attempting to make it work, but it just would not work smoothly for me. No disrespect to Asus or Amazon. I believe it was just the particular unit purchased.
Summary: Twitchy and then died. Whether it is the Windows OS or the computer is difficult to tell, but for sure, the OS is completely gimmicky and not at all easy to use. Keeps checking for errors, and the big error is ever buying it. Amazon won't take it back. A pity but understandable. Neither would I.
Summary: Lots of energy and hours of work, life and productive activities wasted while trying to make that useless wifi device work on the phone with asus technical assistance. In the end i had to keep on working to send that useless thing back, and still without a computer. Please, save your valuable time and energy and forget about this product. Nobody will compensate you. The worst is that now I associate windows 8.1 with this experience.
Summary: Mainly, the touch pad on this computer is very poorly designed as well as the keys. I very much like the way this computer looks, it's symmetric and looks great, but typing makes it almost impossible. I have not used it for long enough to give a more detailed review.
Summary: This PC did not work ok since the first day. The trackpad looses its configuration every other day, I had to format it after 2 weeks of purchase it, and it goes off by it shelf once every 10 times i use it, it is not normal for a new computer. I wanted to give it a second chance but is inpossible to work or do something on it. The worst is that Amazon does not give me an option to return it or exchange.
