Summary: I bought the ASUS S400CA-DB51T for my daughter one and half years ago. She brought it to summer camp and came back with the weird circle in the middle of LCD, looks like water/hue. I always though it is water damage caused by my daughter so I did not use the warranty.
Summary: This is by FAR the worst computer if not the worst computing device I've ever touched. It's slow. It's buggy. The interface is clumsy and tortuous. It crashes programs. I've never had to send a computer back to the manufacturer for repairs before...that is, until I owned this ASUS.
Summary: Terrible quality screen if you're ever going to take it on a plane. Get large oily-like amoeba spot in between layers after flying. See http://youtu.be/uIYagw70k1A. Clearly a design defect, but Asus support is noooooooo help.
Summary: I've have had a terrible experience with this computer. Two days after I received it I started having problems with the screen, now after sending for repairs for the THIRD time my issue is still unresolved. Their costumer service has been more than unhelpful in helping solve this problem.
Summary: I would highly encourage a potential buyer to spend his/her money elsewhere. I purchased this computer as I was trying to finish graduate school, as I needed to use a newer version of a statistical software program. After receiving it and realizing how slow it was, I was considering returning it.
Summary: Last December 2013 I bought my ASSUS Vivo Book S400CA at Amazon US. The computer arrived fine and as I was told it came with Windows 8. One month after I got it, I did the upgrade to windows 8.1. After two months the computer did not allow me to shut down.
Summary: I have never had a worse computer than this one. The mouse started screwing up a month after I purchased it and I could not get the support website for Asus to go anywhere. I contacted them on Twitter and even though I explained the first time that their website did not work, their response was...
Summary: Normally I have enjoyed everything I purchased through Amazon, particularly electronics and electronic accessories. But, I must have bought a lemon. Spent 2 days attempting to make it work, but it just would not work smoothly for me. No disrespect to Asus or Amazon.
Summary: Twitchy and then died. Whether it is the Windows OS or the computer is difficult to tell, but for sure, the OS is completely gimmicky and not at all easy to use. Keeps checking for errors, and the big error is ever buying it. Amazon won't take it back. A pity but understandable. Neither would I.
