Summary: Purchased as a take-a-long computer for work or play. It is pretty reliable and very portable. Dont expect to play video games on it, but great for watching streaming movies, and facebook type stuff.
Pros: This refurbished Asus S200e arrived in just 3 days. It looks like brand-new! The screen is perfect--bright, beautiful, and accurate in touching. The keyboard and touchpad are also of very high quality. It starts up very fast and doesn't get hot.
Summary: I was looking for something portable for basic tasks and stumbled upon this little gem. After swapping out the HDD for an SSD this thing has been impressively fast and responsive. I wasn't a fan of windows 8 and didn't want to mess with finding drivers for this for windows 7. So I decided to put linux on this machine since I wasn't going to play any serious games on this anyway.
Pros: -Wonderful touchpad (responsive and big)
Cons: Battery life (w/ an SSD, only lasts about 3.5 hrs with basic use)
Summary: I teach at a Community College and I needed something that would be light, portable, have a VGA connector and be responsive enough to switch between MS Office applications quickly while projecting the work to my classes on the overhead. So far the S200E has performed flawlessly.
Pros: Light weight, thin, sturdy aluminum construction top and keyboard, fast performance with MS Office documents (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), 4 to 5 hour battery life, very responsive touch screen.
Cons: The screen is a bit reflective under fluorescent lighting.
Summary: I got this laptop from Costco about 9 months ago. I needed something small/lightweight because I travel a lot, and this thing has been great! Obviously it's Windows 8, which I upgraded to 8.1 with no issues. You can read other reviews for the OS, I'm just talking about the hardware. I've had no problems with any part of the laptop. It boots up fast every time (my biggest like!
