Summary: I rated this 4 stars just because of the sheer amount of time it's going to take you to set up this computer right. What I had to do * 1 TB drive is nice, but a piece of s***, drivers don't work right and windows 8 really... really... sucks... IT does however make a nice data drive * I recommend installing a SSD with windows 7 and using that as your BOOT drive (this is also a pain to go and find the right drivers as the Intel W7 Driver causes blue screens if you don't...
ASUS G750 Gaming Laptop piece of crap! I want my money back!

Summary: Had computer for a couple of weeks...received the "blue screen of death" stating "driver_powerstate failure". Had to factory reset the computer then pay $40 to send it in to the company who had it for one month. Had to fight to get help...ASUS doesn't know what "customer service" is. Received the computer yesterday in the mail and the same "blue screen of death", that they supposedly fixed, happened again tonight. Aggravated and want my money back!
Excellent Laptop!! (Just not the one I received from Amazon Warehouse)

Summary: First of all, I would like to say that I love this machine. This machine exceeds ALL of my expectations as far as multimedia, gaming and general use. I quite literally can play all games (including Crysis 3 and Metro: Last Light) at maximum resolution (1920x1080) on high settings (with AAX and Vsync) with an average FPS of 35-40. Every other game aside from those resource demanding titles can be played at max settings with FPS ranging from 40-60+.
Summary: Pros: Great Laptop! Amazon has it for a great price compared to Newegg or other comparable websites, etc. This laptop will load just about anything in no time, it has wonderful picture along with the ability to support 4k by using HDMI, it stays ice cold when in use for hours, and it is built out of high quality materials including alluminum.
Summary: Overall...great when it comes to gaming...if you can actually get on a game. Day two after purchase I get blue screen saying POWER_STATE_DRIVE_FAILURE, call up ASUS after attempting to fix it myself for a few days with no success and they refer me to download graphic driver from support.asus.com.
Summary: I bought this to upgrade my G74SX I bought a few years back. This model of computer, regardless of what specification you buy is hands down the best type of laptops to game with. Sure, people will complain that it's the slower type of HDD at 5400RPM and it's not SSD, or the GTX 860M is not the fastest of the 800 family, BUT you get what you pay for, and with this bundle, it is great for the money.
WOW, the differences between the DELL XPS 15 and the ASUS ROG 17 are absolutely staggering!

Summary: I upgraded to the ASUS ROG 17 from a DELL XPS 15. The Dell has SERIOUS design flaws causing the system to build up heat. I was honestly SWEATING anytime and every time I tried to use my Dell XPS 15 for more than a few minutes. A $2k system should NOT cause the end-user to SWEAT PROFUSELY in the midst of winter nor in a home with AC set to 70F. Seriously.
... previously owned an ASUS and again I get a great computer with a reasonable price

Summary: I've previously owned an ASUS and again I get a great computer with a reasonable price. Since I'm using it for Network Administration classes I haven't used the video card at all so that's why I'm only giving it 4 stars. The battery is lighter than my previous ASUS while providing a longer life. The keys depress firmly and I am comfortable using the keyboard. I've had this computer for over a month and so far no problems. It's a very good computer for the money.
Summary: I love my laptop. I've had it for 2 1/2 months now and I have no complaints at all. I did upgrade from the 16 to 32 GB memory, but it didn't need it at all. It boots in about 5 seconds and will do a restart in about 6 seconds. Handles any games you want to throw at it. I've hooked it up to my 65" Samsung LED and it's a fantastic picture. It has USB 3.0 ports, Thunderbolt, NVIDIA GTX-870M, 4th generation I-7 3.2 Ghz, etc. It also comes with a 250 GB SSD, etc.
Summary: I travel a lot and although this computer is thicker and heavier than most 17" computers it's sturdy and feels solid as a brick. I'm not a gamer but wanted good graphic for running cad programs and a sturdy well made computer with good components. I'm amazed at how cool it runs compared to my old 17 inch HP Pavillion. This computer just feels good and performs well. No regrets.
