Summary: 3 Asus laptops so far... I was looking to buy a gaming laptop that was powerful and not that pricey. I came across this one, G73JH RBBX05, on the internet and got it for a relatively good price. I haven't had that many problems with it so far. Only things I've had problems with are the batteries ( on my 3rd one now) bought it with a dead one, bought a cheap replacement, bought another one, finally had to go back to OEM Asus.
Summary: Great Laptop been using it for about 4 years now, but I feel like its needs a lot of maintenance, I've had to repaste the processor and video card 2 times now and maybe even a 3rd time in the near future. I need to being using this computer in a cool room if I want to be playing games.
Summary: I bought the ASUS G73JH from a local Big Box store back in 2010 - 2011. I'm not 100% on which tax return it was. Anyway it was my first gaming laptop purchase. I had set up an Alienware for $2300.00 through Dell, but found the ASUS while shopping. It had a much better price tag at 1250.00. It was going to do everything I needed, and I was going to save 1000 in the process. After reading the reviews on this site I felt the need to defend my old system a little.
Summary: I've had this computer for almost three years. It has worked very well in those three years. I know that the machine is very outdated now, but if anyone is looking for a used one to save some money, I'd still recommend it. There are still quite a few refurbished ones on the market, and it's a good deal if you can find one. It is very thick due to the amount of hardware shoved in there, and the cooling fans.
Great Desktop replacement BUT no replacement battery on Amazon

Summary: Got this great Laptop about 18months ago. Works so well and good for multitasking. I use it for heavy 3D animation. Just one problem. It eats your battery (like all desktop replacements). It's also frustrating to search through all Amazon and still can't find a replacement battery to buy.
Summary: I ordered the G73J-A1 at the end of July. I decided to write this review to help people learn what they have to do in order to make it work well. First off, you must know that the drivers for the Radeon HD 5870 that are installed are the ones you should stay with. If you update to the newest drivers, it will cause problems with games crashing and videos/sound skipping or freezing. ASUS is working on a fix for this.
Summary: The computer is amazing, great for playing games and working in the huge screen. The only problem is that the rubber feet come out really easily and my screen came with a dead pixel. The dead pixel is the only thing that keeps me from giving this 5 stars, because it have been great for everything else.
