Summary: My brother in law bought a newer model in 2011 and it had Nvidea and it performed fantastic..noticed that this was pretty much the only Radeon model they made. (Don't by Radeon, don't bother with extended warranties, cause neither will help from my experience)
Pros: Huge vents allowed for great cooling. Large Screen was very nice. It's a fast and sturdy computer.
Cons: Radeon Video Card is an absolute nightmare. Cannot run the majority of games I own, if I update I will get an instant blue screen of death. Windows 10 crashed after an update...I assume it ties all around this terrible video card and lack of drivers. ASUS tech service is THEE worst I have dealt w...
Summary: This is a horrible machine, DO NOT purchase it.
Pros: At time of purchase, modern machine, great specs, everything looked good on paper.
Cons: Honestly, this is the single worst laptop I have ever purchased, constant overheating issues, and crashes, I realize it's 4 years old, but even with regular maintenance it simply does NOT function, it never has. About two years after I got it the GPU began idling higher and higher on temperature....
Summary: I have owned this laptop for 1 year where before that I purchased used on craigslist. I am not computer illterate here is my troubleshooting and conclusion: computer will freeze randomly seemingly with whatever was on the screen, sound will loop for whatever was coming out of computer.
Pros: Great laptop when it works, but it breaks easily and often.
Cons: I have owned this laptop for just over two years, and have had to RMA it 5 times, always related to the graphics card. The most recent time, ASUS has told me that they will no longer repair it for free, and that despite their inability to repair it the last several times, they will no longer trea...
Summary: At about 12 months the laptop started overheating and giving issues, the display started going then the motherboard died 2 days after warranty was over. ASUS refused to consider a RMA unless I pay the full price. Was a great laptop the first 3 months then just a headache.
Summary: I was reminded how much difference there is in different companies, today when I called DEll to get serevice for my wife's laptop, experienced NO problems and got great service, then, called ASUS to service my laptop and received NO service or satisfaction. Hence the title of this review.
Pros: great specs
Cons: Horrible customer service, bad drivers, a KNOWN design flaw with the touchpad requiring disassembly and removal of tape that holds it in the unit, incompatability with SSD hard drives, etc.
Summary: I have a 16-month old G73JH that has been an endless source of frustration and headache - and this will be the last ASUS product I'll buy or recommend in this lifetime. Mind you, I love laptops. All told.
Summary: I ordered a laptop g73jh-rbbx05, first laptop came and had dead pixels. Exchanged it for a different one. Having trouble returning the original. Got the new one before the old one got picked up. Here's the amazing part.. the new one won't load windows...
Summary: We received this laptop near the beginning of April. By the beginning of September, it was no longer functional. The charger started developing issues almost immediately, because it is one of those badly-designed chargers that sticks out too far from the body of the laptop.
Summary: I bought this ASUS G73J excited about its two year GLOBAL warranty and for its great reviews. However, within the first year of buying the laptop, I have had to send it in 2 times for screen repair. I am not talking about bright-dots. I am talking about TOTAL screen misfunction.
