Pros: Super fast computer for an extremely affordable price. Quad core, 8 GB of RAM, and 2 GB of dedicated video memory. Amazing!
Cons: I bought this computer for work, and not gaming. So the first thing I did was install Ubuntu onto this computer. The audio, video card, and Bluetooth drivers are not natively supported by Ubuntu 13.10, but with advanced knowledge of system updating/upgrading, i got the video card and audio card to work. Still haven't gotten the Bluetooth to work. It runs great though and I have no complains except it took me 2 days to get Ubuntu working properly. Obviously most of you...
Conclusion: My New lap top is very easy to use. I like the fact that the ASUS has a replacement warranty from the company. Most computers only cover internal part this covers all even screen. All though I have only had a couple month I like it.
Pros: Great laptop for the price. Graphics and sound are great. I am a bit of a gamer and a complete audiophile, and I am very pleased. The laptop has performed great, and I think is great for the money. The keyboard and screen is wide which is great for adult hands. I would recommend this laptop for those looking in the price range.
Cons: I'm not crazy about how the battery and everything else that you'd want to upgrade is in the laptop casing and is a little harder to replace and it voids your warranty. My other complaint is the slower hard drive but once I upgraded it to a solid state drive it screams.
Pros: I want to give this a good review, but I can't as will be explained in the cons section. The laptop has a beautiful 1080 HD LCD screenand is very appealing. I also like the cosmetic appeal of the laptop as a whole. For the price the quad core AMD processor with a dedicated graphics card and 8 GB RAM is a bargain.
Cons: The biggest right off the bat was my LCD screen was defective. There is a bar about 2 inched wide running the screen on the left side. It isn't a black or white bar rather it is just "dimmed". So actually you can see everything in that section but obviously it is disappointing especially when it is brand spankin new. I will see if I can get this fixed quickly and cheaply otherwise I will have to get it replaced. another con is that the keyboard isn't backlit.
Cons: The hard drive, at 5400rpm is a bit slow, but those who cry foul saying that it's unacceptable are exaggerating. Could it be faster? sure, but then it'd have less battery life and be priced higher (if a 7200rpm drive) or simply be much pricier (if it had an SSD).
Pros: 8GB DDR3 1600, A10 Hybrid Crossfire with HD8670M, Runs smooth, was able to run all my games at High or lower most games have played at 50fps or higher, Games include Borderlands 2, Battlefield 3/4, Diablo 3, Minecraft, Sanctum 2, Rust, SWTOR, LOTRO, WOW, EVE, Tomb Raider(newest), DOTA, LOL, Darksiders II, and more... so far has been amazing, im going to school for my Bach in Project Management and even with my gaming this system will run it all so far. This laptop is ...
Cons: Not to much to change in Bios, i would like to be able to add more Memory to the APU's GPU. Not able to easly get to the ram or hard drive without taking whole bottem off. Updating to W8.1 had to reinstall drivers and edit a few Registry files to get them to work like they did in windows 8. battery life is left to be desired, but if set to power saving iv gotten almost 4 hours when screen is turned all the way down and just web browsing.
Pros: Changing from an older laptop with 4GB of RAM and 120GB HD, it's kind of hard to not be better than what I previously had. Runs very cool, great graphics, lightweight and thin. Keyboard also works very nicely, turns on and off pretty fast. Video streams very well.
Cons: After upgrading to Windows 8.1, the touchpad has become super sensitive and clicks onto unintended programs and seems to have a mind of its own. The touchpad was great before the upgrade, and now it feels poorly placed since my hand keeps hitting it and changing the screen.
