Summary: I needed a laptop for school. something had processing power that could handle web browsing and basic word processing documents .For being a budget laptop with an i5 500GB a DVD drive 3 USB ports HDMI and Windows 8 all for around $500???? (I got mine for $450) I am extremely pleased with this laptop. but.... I do have some things I wished that were included.
Summary: This is my first ever laptop. Saying that, I'm not sure if my expectations were low or underdeveloped, but I really love this laptop. So far these are the Pros and Cons: Pros: Island Keyboard Fast i5 Processor 500 GB HDD 2 USB 3.00 Ports Cons: No Graphics Card CD writer Problem There appears to be something wrong with the CD writer.
Summary: the asus 15.6 series is a rugged good looking laptop. I have been getting this same basic model for years now. and the hinges don't change, the keyboard is still the same and the power plug is still identical to every other asus laptop and EEE box i have bought in the last 4 years. no point in changing something that works so well. after buying 40 of these I am happy to continue buying them.
Summary: I ordered this computer when I spilled water on my old one and burned out the sound. If you like smart phones, and that swiping app technology - than this is the computer for you. It is fast - and sounds very good. This is my 3rd Asus computer, and they have the most speed for the money. I am not a smartphone user - and didn't realize that Windows 8 was this technology - so I continue to use both of my computers.
Summary: This product is great, fast, slim, great looking appearance, and I can use it for just about anything, great purchase, I did a lot of research about laptops, and this was the best deal with me having around a $600 budget. I strongly recommend this Awesome-top.
Summary: I turned to this laptop after Amazon could not deliver on my earlier ASUS choice. I am no techie, so will not go into the specs. All I can say is that I paid 20% less for more memory, and an I5 chip than I did two years ago for an I3 chip. Doubled the memory for $35 - well worth it. Unless you have specific requirements that dictate spending more, I don't know why the average everyday user would need any more than this fine laptop.
Summary: I got this laptop for my daughter. I was setting it up for her. At first, everything was fine until I had to use the touchpad. That's where it all the disappointment started. I tried everything and finally, I had to call Asus tech support. Another disappointment here! I started talking to a Tech Support rep at 3:30pm and by the time I was finished, it was 8:30pm. I spoke to 3. The first 2, after 30 minutes of trying to help me, we got disconnected.
Summary: I had this laptop for about 5 days now and here's my thoughts... Pros: *The laptop looks beautiful and has a nice solid build to it. *The keyboard is easy to use and it's just one of those keyboards that's fun to type on, kind of like the Apple brand keyboards. *The touchpad is big and responsive to my movements. *The webcam is the quality that you can expect from a webcam. It's not high quality but it doesn't have big pixels everywhere.
