Summary: The fan comes on nonstop for basically no reason. A lot of drivers need to be updated which is something I have to take time out of my day to do. The mouspad trackpad is horrible. Sorry but it is. You have to press down extra hard to click too. I don't like the keyboard; they're trying to emulate Apple which is never a good idea; It's hard to type on; my fingers get tired, because the keys are so spaced out. Not fun.
Summary: Update 1/9/15 - I just installed a in this laptop... HOWEVER -- while I was able to get it to work, it will NOT fit properly. I was able to insert it into the slot, after pushing out the DVD-Drive temporarily, but the length of the mSATA is just too long to sit properly; I could not secure it flat, so it actually bends up slightly... I'm not sure yet how this will affect in the long run...
... a little bit more of RAM and a bit better processor. But that is just for personal choice

Summary: The only thing I would add to this laptop is a little bit more of RAM and a bit better processor. But that is just for personal choice. This laptop is SICK. elegant and great for multitasking. If you are on video and audio editing like me, this laptop handles that perfectly. (of course I am talking about avid media composer and adobe collection. I though that if did not get an asus ROG I would not have any power. MISTAKE, this laptop is awesome.
Summary: Bought this ASUS for my son's birthday. I'm a Mac guy, but he's a gamer and running Windows games under a virtual machine just doesn't cut it for him. He of course wanted an AlienWare laptop, but that wasn't in the budget. So far this ASUS has proven more than capable of playing anything he throws at it. Sure it may not have the super-fast frame rate of higher-end laptops, but it works good enough for him.
Summary: I have owned a lot of laptops and I appreciate good design as well as decent performance. For example, if you bought a car, and it seemed pretty nice, but you found out the battery was built in and when it went dead, you would be needing a new car, probably you would consider that poor design. That is the kind of thing you will find on this POS.
Complete waste of money, worst computer I've ever owned.

Summary: I wish I could give this a zero star rating. I've never had a computer/laptop have so many problems in such a short period of time. I bought it from Best Buy and withing 2 weeks it wouldn't connect to my external hard drive. Then 3 weeks after that, my phone wouldn't connect to it. After about 3 months, the start up is completely messed up and shows about 14 error messages very quickly on a black screen then starts up like normal after that.
High quality, high powered laptop at an amazing price for what you get!

Summary: This is an amazing computer. I purchased it refurbished, but it seemed like new. If it wasn't for a few minor scratches on the case and a couple battery cycles, I'd have thought it was new. The computer starts up ultra fast, even without an SSD. Don't be scared off by the dual core i7. It's hyperthreaded and runs very fast. I have noticed absolutely no slowdown, and I normally use quadcore processors.
Summary: I want to love this laptop. It performs so well, it's everything I need for college and gaming. BUT there is something buggy with this model. Your screen will flicker on and off and eventually just decide it doesn't want to work at all (not to mention the headphone port, USB ports and power port). The first one I got started doing this within 2 days of purchase, I returned it and got another, which has just now started doing the same thing (3 months later).
