Summary: It was dead on arrival. It looked super great and I'm sure it would have been an amazing laptop choice had it worked (buy it brand new) but this one wouldn't even start up properly. Some sort of problem with the screen and display connection.
Summary: Bought this about a year ago. It has held up very well playing World of Warcraft and Secondlife. Beware of new laptops offering Windows 10 and the privacy that will be stripped from you along with it. Get this computer and retain control of your operating system with windows 8.1.
Summary: i bought Asus Q550L from Best Buy for school, i am in Engineering School, i paid almost $1200 brand new from bestbuy. before i buy theat laptop, i asked the rep if it is good to run auto cad, heavy programs and games, however he said yes.

Summary: Let me begin by saying that this computer has amazing specs. The graphics card, memory and processor are perfect for playing any steam game you can download, at least the ones I've bought. The touch screen is nice and is generally fast regardless of what I'm doing. Yet, I still gave it a 1 star.
Summary: This is a decent laptop for just watching HD video and light productivity and gaming. But there are more problems in my experience. Problem 1. I find that the metal casing for the laptop is a little on the weak side and bent in multiple places for me. Problem 2: Heat.
Summary: SImply put this laptop has been great for me. But it also looks like a lot of people here have gotten bad models and I'm one of the minority who's PC is working. It's also weird that all these people get the same response of "it's an isolated incident" from tech support when it's obvious that...
Pros: Great GPU (has handled BF4 at medium settings with 40fps) Good battery life Aluminum casing USB 3.0 1 TB HDD Really nice feel of being well built
Cons: Heavy Blocky charger Tendency to restart rather than just wake up from sleep
Summary: This is a great laptop, if you're prepared to buy a new one in another eight months. I love Asus computers but this one in particular has been more trouble than it's worth.
Pros: Great graphics card Great performance on all kinds of programs and games This is a great laptop for just about anything(At least for a short while.)
Cons: So far the average motherboard life seems to be 6-8 months. I bought this laptop new January 2014 and it was great. Schoolwork, games, media. I could do it all. But then in November the motherboard fried and I had to send it back to the manufacturer for repair. It came back just in time for me to...
