Summary: Actually.. The computer was a dud! But the company was great to deal with. They shipped same day and sent the package overnight because I was leaving the country and needed it with me. That was amazing!
Summary: Overall I am happy with this laptop. Despite the constant need to wipe it off, it runs great for its price range. This is a very solid laptop. I bought this for business use and it has outperformed. It can still handle gaming fine, although limited by the built-in graphics, it is still viable.
Pros: The i5 pushes to 2.7 to 2.9 gHz constantly whenever power is needed and handles everything fine. This is more than enough for anything business related and does decent for the heavier games. The battery life is around 2-3 hours and can be extended by simply using the built in feature to change th...
Cons: The cover smudges very easily. Imagine a touch screen phone all around the touch pad and below the keyboard. Your palms and fingers will leave marks everywhere. They wipe away easily, but it tends to look very messy. The display isn't as clear and crisp as I expected. It is still great, but it se...
Pros: I recently ordered this laptop (ASUS P43E-XH51) for my son going onto college. The specifications fit perfectly on what I deemed important based on features and cost. * The 14.1" screen is a perfect size, not to big nor to small which makes it fit nicely into a backpack and large enough screen fo...
Cons: Would be nice to have had a power cord configuration that could be neatly wrapped up for storage like some with the integrated rubber strap. No restore CD's, but there is a backup utility for this option.
Summary: I bought this for a customer on a tight budget but needed a business class laptop. I trust the brand as I use Asus motherboards in the majority of my desktop builds. I am taking a chance and was a little disappointed in the feel of it.
Pros: Solid power connection. Plenty of ports. Very responsive. Not very much bloatware. Partitioned drive for data and OS. Recovery disc process is easy. Runs cool. One click high performance / battery saver mode. Good business graphics. Very stable.
Cons: Finger prints real bad as most do. Power button seems to be a little flimsy, time will tell I suppose. 9-cell battery would have been nice and could have set them apart from others. No number keypad on right.
Summary: I am enjoying my first month with the Asus laptop. My previous laptop was an HP Pavilion 15.5 inch glossy screen. I really like the matte screen of the Asus. As far as screen size, I debated going with the Asus 15.6 vs the 14.1 and decided the 14.1 would be better, given the lower screen resolution.
