Summary: I've bought this laptop more than a year ago and it still serves me well. I've had one random blue screen and nothing else. Yes, it does get hot if you are running a more demanding application. But other than that, it's pretty smooth. I do recommend it.
Summary: I have used this laptop for almost 2 years now and I am very pleased with Asus warranty service. When the laptop first came out, it would BSOD intermittenly. After it was sent to the Asus repair center in California for a firmware upgrade, it works well ever since. Asus paid for the Fedex shipping, and the total turnaround time was about a week. About a month ago, the screen bezel was cracked so I sent it in again.
Summary: Yeah, it's hot, as other reviews have said. The Core i7 processor idles at around 60C. As long as you vent it properly (and don't use it in your lap or on a bed which will block airflow), it performs well. The processing power, and discrete graphics card are GREAT! I have yet to find anything I couldn't do. It even handles gaming. All you have to remember is that "laptop" doesn't mean you can use it on your lap.
The worst laptop which I have buy. strictly not recomended

Summary: I have ordered laptop at 6 june at 2011 year and Amazon delivered it in 2 days. Thanks a lot to Amazon. I was happy but just some hours. On the next day I have observed crack on the plastic surface under the display near the the left fixing. Hm, I hve return it back to Amazon without any issue from Amazon side. Thanks again :) I was waiting second one.
Summary: The Asus laptop is nice with i7 CPU. But seem to be the lowest model of i7-which isn't as fast I expected it to be. I bought this for a friend and installed everything for her. The touchpad is very MacOS like with two finger scrolling. The screen frame bezel is weak cheap plastic material and cracked on the right hand bottom corner when I stashed a few more books in the bag. It really looks elegant and classy overall with the bronze tone brushed design.
Summary: HD comes partitioned like a Highschooler created it 3 partitions ? WTH.......BLOATWARE........OMG SO MUCH !....... Frustrated SOOOO I cleaned it all off........ After a clean install of W7 and a few updates - it runs great ,even got .2 more points on windows experience processor with removing the JUNK ASUS installed...
Summary: In the 7 months I have owned the Asus N82JQ-A1 notebook it suffered 7 BSODs. That is an average of once a month. Usually it starts with the display freezing, turning black, sometimes partially then the BSOD appears. When contacted the only advice Asus Tech Support could offer was to do a recovery. Obviously there was something more serious wrong with the notebook.
