Summary: I really like this laptop and just wanted to share my satisfaction. > The included little subwoofer is very, very, very good. It's incredible how good it is. I hardly need external speakers. It's really a brilliant innovation. Before I bought the computer I regarded it as just a gimmick, but when I tried it out I was actually extremely impressed. Every laptop should come with one of these. > The 1080p matte screen is really good.
Summary: My laptop arrived with large staple in the product box, with penetrated down on upper left of the laptop creating a nasty scratch. The scratch has ridges in the metal, so that if a person touches it, one can get a finger cut. Update: got a new N76V shipped in and have been using it for a few weeks. It is great computer, quiet, runs cool, fast. And I got all the 3.00 USB ports to work with multiple 3.00 usb external hard drives.
Summary: This laptop is fast and responses to my needs. Runs few applications simultaneously without slowing down. Now working in Photoshop is twice faster and enjoyable after having a refurbished HP, which broke on me after 2 years of usage.. Screen! Screen is the best! I've been looking for a laptop with NON GLOSSY screen. Do not understand why they make glossy screens. All the reflections make you change the position depending on time of the day.. frustrating. This one I love!
Summary: There doesn't need to be another review on this product because there are lots of resources online already; however, I would like to echo the fact that this is one of the best notebook purchases that can be had within the last year. The quality to cost ratio is through the roof, and it definitely defeats any Apple notebook in any way. This is a *powerful* machine with great aesthetics and a solid a build.
Summary: As an avid gamer and freshman college student looking to buy my first laptop, I wanted only the best for my experience and money. My cousin recommended an Asus for my gaming needs so I began my search for a brand laptop that suited my desires and stayed around $1500. I met my suitor, the ASUS N76VZ-D571, on ProStar.com for about $1200. Unlike any other Web site I had looked at, I could customize my computer to get everything I wanted plus more if I so choose.
Summary: - Very nice design - Lightweight - Quiet - Fast Intel Core-i7 processor (quad core) - Bright back-lit keyboard - Great sound with the SonicMaster subwoofer and Waves MAXXAudio software - Large, clean and bright display (+ HDMI port) - Blu-ray player/burner - 2x 500GB 7200rpm hard drives - 8GB RAM - 4x USB 3.0 ports - I can go on forever...
Summary: Laptop arrived as promised. It came up without a fuss. I used Easy Transfer to move settings, etc. to the ASUS. That also worked flawlessly. It is fast. The screen is crisp and clean. The sound is excellent for a laptop. I am delighted with the machine. I should also say that I have had many laptops over the years and I am a stickler for quality. I can't find anything to complain about.
Summary: I never wrote a review for a computer. I figure that there may be other readers in my shoes debating which one to choose so I am sharing my experience as a reference point but the decision is ALWAYS yours. I was looking for my i7 desktop replacement. Not that my desktop is obsolete but it's noisy and generating too much heat that makes my study room hot in the summer.
Summary: I bought this for my wife, thinking it was a great laptop for the money. As is turns out, it is even better than I thought. She loves it and is extrememly happy with the speed, the sound quality, and the fact that it's quiet and light. I also found out that it does indeed have a backlit keyboard, although this hasn't been mentioned in the reviews or the specs listing. Also the Asus logo on the back lights up.
