Summary: This computer is awesome. It is like a desktop and can handle any PC game you throw at it with ease. It does get hot, but its a laptop. The 17" version is very large, and therefore heavy. If that's ok, grab this thing. If not, maybe try the 15".
Summary: Exactly what I wanted for speed, and gaming. GREAT PRICE. only negative, if you play demanding games, can feel the heat built up quickly, don't know how much it would take to do damage. Have been conservative with my gaming time.
Summary: the laptop is ridiculous. 8 gigs of ram makes the thing run so smooth not to mention the 2 gigs on the nvidia graphics card. game are incredibly smooth and the resolution on the screen is crisp. the mini sub kicks like a champ, it compares to listening to music on a small boom-box.
Summary: Worst laptop I've ever had. GOing back to Lenovo. I purchased this in Tiger Direct store....was told best thing for me. The wireless quit working in 3 months...it shuts off every time a web page is changed....unrepairable and ASUS said tough, call the extended warranty place....NOT FAIR...they said warranty for a year!! I'm 8 months into this piece of crap and can't wait to get OUT. RUN from this.
Summary: I've had this computer for a few days now, and so far everything is perfect. The construction is second to none, and absolutely nothing feels cheap. It's blazing fast, the specifications are amazing. In addition, the seller replaced one of the HDDs with a 500GB SSD for me. I have no cons so far, everything came as expected.
Summary: The power of the hardware is amazing. This thing boots so fast. I put the solid state drive from my old laptop into this new beast and it boots so fast it makes my head spin! However... I don't like this keyboard. I just didn't realize, based on the pictures, that it was that type of keyboard you find on Macs. The keys are all spaced out. I hate this. they're small squares and i mistype often. Keys just aren't where i expect them to be. The touchpad is horrible.
Summary: I usually wouldn't write a review, but in this case I feel it's a necessity. I literally can't find anything wrong with this laptop. It's more powerful than most desktop computers. It sounds great, performers just as good, and the only let down (I guess) would be that it comes with Windows 8. I can deal with change, and I've gotten used to Windows 8 now. I personally know two MacBook owners that are jealous of my new Asus, that should say it all.
Summary: i researched several brands and the 15in Asus too, and after a failed attempt to get a 15in went with the 17in this laptop fit all of my needs, large enough to do any task but portable if needed. Awesome audio from the top notch Bang Olufsen speakers, and the small plug in woofer is nothing fancy but a nice touch. its loaded with too many Asus apps and worthless programs, but what brand isn't.
Summary: Well, first of all I would like to say that English is not my first language, so excuse me if I have some grammatical mistakes. I hope you understand me! The main reason why I bought this PC is for gaming. I just wanted to play every game, at least in low graphics, but I wanted to play them all. I bought it a week ago and I have already tried games such as Farcry 3, Payday 2, Outlast, Minecraft, Skyrim, Black Ops 2. Fow now, I have not any issues.
Summary: My friend at work recommended ASUS since he loves his ASUS laptop. He is a gamer so it is great for the graphics. I wanted a great quality laptop that would provide fast speed and have all the great high tech features. It is wonderful and worth every penny.
