Summary: Pros: This laptop is very powerful and fast, even without a solid-state drive. The laptop seems solid, isn't too heavy, and looks good. There wasn't as much junk-ware on this machine as there was on almost any other windows machine I've purchased before.
Great product overall, but almost unusable with installed hard drive

Summary: This is a machine as solid as any I've ever owned. It has a solid frame, sleek aluminum lid (fingerprints show like crazy, though), ample USB ports and enough video ports to run 2 external monitors, and a great keyboard.
Summary: I have had this system for a couple of weeks now. Let's start with the positives: - Display: magnificent. ASUS does put a lot of work in to having some of the best displays on the market, and this one is glorious, Full HD. Non-touch. No complaints - Speakers: Again, glorious.
Summary: I don't normally write reviews. However, I thought everyone should have a heads up about certain anomalies of the machine. I bought this laptop based on the specs. I figured I could always update RAM from 6G to 8G pretty cheaply. The machine seems to be constructed well but..
Summary: realize that it's and electronic product, and that the life span of electronic products are difficult to predict. however in this instance, within a week of using this machine, the video failed with the maching in process of being returned to amazon.
Summary: My wife needed a replacement for her aging mac book and decided the apple tax was too high. She raves about this laptop daily. Loves the display, the sound quality, the feel, she even likes the touch pad. Its quick even without the ssd, although the ssd or hybrid drive will be a future upgrade.
Summary: My first ASUS was pretty good so I decided to buy another one (this one). I will tell you that the ASUS could be a great computer IF IF IF they paid just a little more attention to the quality of the keyboard and the touch-pad. The keyboard is flimsy.
Summary: I got this product last week, I like it so far but it's a lot bigger than I expected. It feels really sturdy and well made which is awesome compared to my last laptop- a dell inspiron. The only negative I have noticed is that the touchpad is so big that while I'm typing it scrolls around the screen.
