Summary: I have had this laptop for several months. I fully concur with the five star ratings some reviewers have given. I have swapped the 6Gb memory for 16Gb. The machine has worked flawlessly ever since. If you want potential performance at a budget price this is the way to go.
Summary: Hi everyone, I been following the site for the last months, and it has been extremely usefull. Maybe someone can help me out with this question. I need a new laptop. so I am trying to find out which one would fit better my needs. Let me explain myself, I study architecture so I work a lot with 3d softwares and rendering stuff...so I definitely would need a strong graphic card, at least 6 gb of RAM, and a strong processor ( a i7 would work)...
Summary: This is an excellent laptop. I was looking at mac book pros but when you look at the specs, this is more advanced, with more RAM (6Gb v 4Gb), bigger hard drive (640Gb v 500Gb) same processor as the top end apple models (i7 2.2Ghz), but with a mighty 2Gb graphics card that apple is no where near offering. the USB3 inputs (2 of them ) was another feature that the mac didnt have and when connected to a USB3 drive the data rate is very fast.
Summary: Great laptop, ideal desktop replacement, easy access to HDD and RAM, the GT 555m powers through all activities from Skyrim (medium to high settings) at native res, MW3 plays High at native res. Can get a little hot under load (Playing games) however cooling system keeps it in check, no throttling of CPU or GPU when under load. Matte screen is a dream and great for HD content.
Summary: Little I can add to the other reviews here - buy so far its one of the best Laptops I've ever had. Even the cardboard box it comes in is so well kitted out "Q" from 007 films could have had a hand in it. For a laptop - the sound is really good - other reviewers may expect more - but it is only a laptop and you just can't fit more kit to shift more air through sound waves in to a relatively small package.... The sub-woofer does contribute well here.
Summary: . Bought this laptop on amazon for £750 just before the xmas. Well the first thing i realized was the weight. It is a quite heavy laptop. It's not designed for traveling. So i still taking my old laptop for use in university. However N55SF is a desktop replacement. And gets the job done! The Hardware installed is enough to run latest games on medium/high graphics with decent fps.
The best laptop I've owned, but one or two little niggles.

Summary: Well what to say about this laptop; I originally went out looking for a computer at £399, and speaking to a very helpful sales advisor was told my gaming needs required a dedicated Graphics Card so I was like alright, what's on offer? The answer was this computer, but with the i5 processor.
Summary: the asus n55s laptop is a very powerful laptop for the money, the GT555m is an awesome graphics card for the laptop and the i7 core 2670qm processor provides plently of power. there are novel touches like the way optimus graphics technology allows the laptop to use the built in intel graphics to do the mundane work and the 555 to do the real power work. this can be assigned on a program by program basis.
Summary: I bought this after replacing a faulty HP DV6. Needed something for video editing/rendering and a fast PC for days to day stuff. Always liked ASUS for my desktop builds, but their laptops were never fast enough... well this one is a piece of magic... fast graphics, rendering is similar to my desktop i7-950/AMD 6850 speed for GPU rendering, but seems slicker....
Summary: I bought this machine to run Adobe Creative Suite and some infrequent gaming when travelling. The good news is that it ran Skyrim on Ultra High settings.... The bad news is that the keyboard was faulty. Several keys (ie both Left & Right Control) also typed additional characters. Eg if you pressed Right Control it also typed the / character. The Left Control Key typed the Up Arrow - rendering Ctrl+C commands unusable.
