Summary: I've been using this laptop for almost two months now and I haven't had any problems with it. The screen is bright and sharp. If your eyes are old like mine you will appreciate the screen on this laptop. It is fast. Start up is quick and programs open much faster than on my other computers. The sound quality is better than most other laptops although there can be a little distortion at full volume. This laptop is definately worth the price.
Summary: I heard alot of good things about Asus making powerful machines and this laptop really was powerful and fast, but disliked the 'weak" keyboard and little gap in the center. Otherwise it ran perfect and had great sound. Its not very light either but not super heavy. Battery probably lasts about 3 hours or so.
Summary: Bought this for schoolwork and some gaming. Its been amazing. Super fast, super sleek. Some of the preinstalled software is pretty annoying, but once you get it all removed its perfect. And ASUS is the most reliable laptop brand on the market right now. HIGHLY reccommend this guy.
Summary: I would give it 4 if it was smaller for a 14 inch is has a 1 inch border around lcd, also no backlit keyboard. Sweet otherwise. Nice solid feel , love the steel finish and USB 3. I have noticed from the 3 previous asus I owned that there is an unsolved Event viewer issue. it reads as follows The speed of processor 3 in group 0 is being limited by system firmware.
Summary: The N43JF-A1 is the perfect laptop for school and work. The Core I5 runs much cooler than a Core I7 and the GT425M is perfect for multimedia and games. I have not run into any problems with videos or Fallout New Vegas, Call of Duty Black Ops, or other releases (given some of these must be run medium to lower settings for optimal fps). The aluminum finish and design is easy on the eyes.
Summary: Asus N43JF-A1 is a powerfull and easy to carry laptop. I like the speakers and LED backlit screen. The brushed aluminum looks great and the keyboard is decent. This laptop can handle most games and processing tasks. Win 7 is a great OS providing many nice features. I am happy with my purchase. I have an Asus F3SV (2007) which is still running great. Asus is a better value for people looking for performance.
Summary: Amazing portable computer that allows me to do my work and game. Also allows me to play world @ war ,L4d 2, vindictus, SC2 on high settings if not highest. Sound quality from the speakers are great, nice range of sound from highs mids and lows. love the single button that easily allows me to go into different modes ( overclock to battery saver).
Summary: Purchased the Asus N43JF-A1 laptop on 11/30/2010 for my daughter in college. We have owned HP, IBM (IBM laptop division was purchased by Lenovo) and Apple laptops. After several hours of research on Amazon and other review sites I narrowed it down to Asus, Toshiba, and Sony due to the reliabilty and repair records. See the following link to examine for yourself: [...] I also went to the direct websites for Toshiba, Sony, Lenovo and Dell to look at customization options.
Summary: I bought this laptop because of the great specs. And indeed, it does have great potential but at the end of the day ASUS still doesn't get what it takes to make a premium notebook, in my opinion. Let's start off with the PROS. - Fast processor - Great graphics card - Incredible sound, it really is amazingly crisp and clear, and can get very loud with almost no distortion. The speakers were the only thing that absolutely amazed me in this notebook, at least in a good way.
Summary: I got this laptop a few day ago and it is great, core i5 is really fast and nvidia 425m with optimus are working good on this one. battery life is ok... a little more than 3 hours in power save mode and hybrid engine on... Speakers are awesome.
