Summary: First off, I had to remove Windows 8.1 from it because Asus machines just refuse to run Windows 8 and 8.1. They crash and have serious network issues. The speakers suck. Absolutely suck. The screen is pretty good, the CPU is grand but after less than a year the vid./sound card was shot out.
Purchased 7 months ago and already showing signs of electrical problems
Ally T., Amazon
11 November 2013
Summary: I purchased this 7 months ago directly from Amazon. There were a few pros like the Icecool and Quick Startup feature but the negatives are adding up. I was getting used to the Windows 8 and sensitive touch pad and I tried to ignore some of the unexpected slowness issues or long periods it needed to...
Summary: Bought a new Asus..in May....the number keys(top)did not work from the get-go....got some tench help FINALLY after hanging on forever...and the upper keys got fixed and then...Yippee...the touch pad became non-responsive....called again(on line)for tech support..
Summary: I actually sold an iPad on EBAY to get this laptop, because I needed more functionality and flat hard drive space. After a lot of searching, this seemed like the best bang for the buck (I got a brand new one for about $450.00.
Summary: I really dislike the operating system that the computer came with. We have been unable to install a printer due to issue with this system. The computer itself in terms of appearance is fine. The touchpad is extremely sensitive and this makes it difficult to use.
Summary: I noticed a few days ago when I touch metal on the laptop I got a stick. I thought it was a jagged edge. It kept happening. I finally figured out the laptop was giving me little shocks when i touch the metal. Just checked to see if i could return to Amazon. I missed the return window by a few days.
Summary: 5 STARS FOR ASUS. 2 STARS FOR MICROSOFT. My second return to Amazon... not their fault. + PLUSES: Very good construction, visually attractive, powerful internals, clear display - no problems at all and I recommend ASUS as a company and brand of computer over the Lenovo, Dell, and HP which I checked...
Summary: Even though it was not brand new I expected that the seller would have sold me an item of acceptable quality and in working order. I started off working well then suddenly after one week the laptop refused to boot up and was not recognizing the hard drive.
Summary: I had an issue with the software not communicating with the disk drive and other hardware on the computer, so I chose to return it since it was new and I didn't want to have to fix a brand new laptop.
