Purchased 7 months ago and already showing signs of electrical problems

Summary: I purchased this 7 months ago directly from Amazon. There were a few pros like the Icecool and Quick Startup feature but the negatives are adding up. I was getting used to the Windows 8 and sensitive touch pad and I tried to ignore some of the unexpected slowness issues or long periods it needed to restart after freezing when randomly when running an update.
Summary: I bought this laptop for my wife's birthday in May, 2013. Four months later, the machine started arbitrarily turning off for no reason - not properly shutting down - just powering off. This progressively became more frequent until we sent it back to ASUS under warranty in October. ASUS replaced the motherboard and returned the PC in a little over a week. So far, it's not had any problems. My wife really likes the display and the extended keyboard.
Summary: I got this laptop 3 weeks ago, since then sometimes there is a sound like clicking from its hard drive! I scanned its hard and it was okay but the sound really makes me nervous! there is no replacement, I just can have standard refund and it's not fair!
Summary: Takes a little time to get used to as some of the keys are in a different location and the keyboard is flat. I am using a mouse until I am a little more comfortable with the pad. It is a little heavier than I thought it would be but am also getting used to that too.
Summary: ok let me start of by saying this is a beautiful machine i bought it because of that and it was very cheap i love all the ports especially the HDMI port which you can hook up to your TV and watch movies BUT my greatest source of regret is the fact that the designers placed the speakers underneath the laptop so if are like me and you enjoy listening to music with you laptop sitting on your LAP then be prepared to hear a lot of what i can only describe as listening to your...
Summary: Installed 16GB high-speed memory (COSAIR Vengence DDR3 SODIMM, 2x8GB 1600MHz). Intel i7 4-cores + Hyper-threading + 16GB of memory, this laptop is a beast. Hyper-threading here is like running 8 cores in parallel. (yeah, no more lag~) Appreciate the free windows 8.1 upgrade over the Internet; still it takes me a few days to get used to it. Over all very happy with the build quality and performance. Plan to upgrade this baby to 32GB Memory + SSD in the next few years.
