Summary: This computer is the ultimate digital entertainment/gaming/programming/machine. Not only was it worth the buy, its was a very nice deal for the features and it runs like a beast. I've shared intetnet connections using this laptop as a gateway and its sped up the connection faster than the router on mobile devices and other computers! The color is by far amazing and i can't believe there is never any heat on my legs or hands when playing.
Summary: Getting a new laptop wasn't something that I absolutely needed to do, so I set my criteria and searched daily on amazon waiting for a good deal. Eventually I scored this laptop for approximately $600 new and boy am I impressed. Pros: Sleek Look Finger print resistant Battery life can be good (depending on what you're doing) VERY fast Able to play games such as Battlefield 3 with no lag Have run into no issues when programming OS installation included ZERO bloatware Cons:...
Summary: I was in the market for a Windows laptop (I owned a couple of macbooks but wanted a PC) that could handle modern games. I looked at other major companies, but nobody offered anything with the performance of the Asus K series for under $1000. I bought the laptop about two weeks ago and have been VERY happy with it.
Summary: It has been bought and used for a month and I love it. Itis the perfect size. I wanted an 18 inch with super amounts of dedicated memory to play games on super high, but wasnt willing to spend1200 or more. Well this was awesome. 1gb of dedicaated and 6gb of ram go a long way performance wise for gaming, and also can do everything else really well.
ASUS K53SV-A1 15.6-Inch Versatile Entertainment Laptop (Mocha)

Summary: ASUS K53SV-A1 15.6-Inch Versatile Entertainment Laptop (Mocha) Great computer. It came with 6 GB of ram and I upgraded to 8 GB shortly after. I actually had the K52 first and something with the operating system went wrong that no one could figure out but Amazon immediately sent me out the K53 (just a different card reader)withing a few days. Extremely happy with the service from the Amazon on the issue.
Summary: I purchased this computer mainly for the performance, as I am a college student in need of 3D design programs, called CAD to the initiated. This laptop had the RAM, processor and amount of graphics memory that I had wanted, and was by far the cheapest to satisfy all 3 at the time. The performance has been great, especially considering the mobility and the ability to get 4-6 hours of battery life means you can take this to classes, or work without always needing to bring...
Summary: I used a ASUS G50VT before buying this K53SV-B1, it was great but getting dated, was looking forward to a faster CPU, more ram, and longer battery life. This ASUS K53SV-B1 fits the bill. The quad core i7 is about 3-4 times faster, video card is about the same, overall system temperature is way less, battery life is about 4-5 hours light to moderate use.
Summary: I've not had any issues out of the box for a month now. I suppose anything could go horribly wrong yet but Asus has a good reputation so I'm not worried. I wanted something to do some work with home video and this thing flies. I'm not much into PC gaming, haven't bought a new game since Burnout Paradise, so I can't tell how it would perform with anything newer, but the "Windows Experience Index" score is a 5.8 so I imagine it'd be medium settings most of the time.
