  • Excerpt: I got this ASUS as a replacement to a lemon Dell that I had been using for about a year. It has been a year and a half and I'm still liking this computer better. It's reliable and fast for most uses. The only thing I've had happen to it is that the screen got a crack in it when my kid used it, I still don't know how he did it.

  • Excerpt: I purchased this computer during my senior year of college. I minored in Instructional Technology, so I had access to professors and others that I felt I could trust their opinions in regards to purchasing a new computer. When I asked them what was the best out there, there was a resounding answer of "MAC". Unfortunately, Mac's were nowhere near my budget so that was out of the picture. When I asked for an alternative, nearly everyone said to look into ASUS.

get your money's worth with this laptop

  • Excerpt: I bought this laptop for myself to replace my old desktop.  I had shopped around for awhile, comparing prices with specs and systems.  I'm not a computer genius and I tend to use my computer for browsing, online games, email- nothing fancy.  The HP pavilians had caught my eye but I decided to go with this laptop instead, and am not regretful at all.  With rebates, mypoints, and an extra 10% to the sale price, I ended up paying about $475 for this laptop.

  • Excerpt: I bought this laptop in February 2010. It was my first laptop that I ever bought. I did a lot of research before buying. I mainly needed the laptop for college, but even for the non college student it is a very good investment. It is worth the price. It has 3 GB of memory, expandable to 4. very fast computer, I was extremely impressed with the display and I still am. It is very easy to set up. I can run several programs at the same time without any problems whatsoever.

  • Excerpt: My Dell died one day so I ran out to Best Buy to get a new one.  I wanted an Acer because I have one of their desktops and love it.  Well don't you know it but Best Buy doesn't sell Acer laptops.  They showed me the Asus that best suited my needs and decided to purchase it.  It has a large hard drive, a webcam which never had before, large screen, Windows 7, well lit keyboard (in case you want to type in the dark) and lots of great features.  It holds lots of pictures.

  • Summary: First I was pleasantly surprised/blown away at how fast Planet73 shipped my Asus laptop that was well within the estimated delivery time. It is a great balance of price and performance from Asus, which is known for reliability and robust products. It is a huge step up or jump in virtually all the specs and features departments compared to the 12.1" old faithful laptop I have! It's quiet with no heating issues.

Good Laptop, but...

  • Summary: Bought for husband as travel-laptop. Just got in today. Let me say this laptop will be sufficient for some daily use. It is a good laptop for the price. Fast enough ( but not super speedy). Doesnt feel really heavy to me, but then again, I normally carry around a 17 inch dell. Very nice looking. Overall, very good for browsing and email. Probably really good for a student or light to medium usage.

Asus Has Me Surprised

  • Excerpt: "...a huge name for me Asus are always in my eyes deemed as cheap and not that great in terms of what they offer but I have found them quite good for design. The laptop has the standard black look which I find more appealing then coloured laptops and straight away you're given a nice glossy finish when you open the lid. The main surface is done with the glossy coating and this covers everything except the keypad which is done in a solid black colour ...
  • Pros: It has many good features
