Summary: As I sit here trying to figure out why my hard drive crashed (again) and how I am going to get my software and files off of it, I thought I would take the time to warn others to avoid this laptop at all costs. I have had mine for two years and it has been a problem since day one. Now I can only load windows in the safe mode and that is even a crap shoot. Of course my back up discs are at home and I am on the road. I am about to throw it in the pool.
Excerpt: I got this ASUS as a replacement to a lemon Dell that I had been using for about a year. It has been a year and a half and I'm still liking this computer better. It's reliable and fast for most uses. The only thing I've had happen to it is that the screen got a crack in it when my kid used it, I still don't know how he did it.
Asus K0IJ Laptop makes up for every other laptop I've endured.

Excerpt: If you are like me, you always want the convenience of a laptop but continue using a clunky desktop because of cost and quality. Every laptop that I've been forced to endure by my company in the past had made me unwilling to even consider a laptop for home. I realized I really wanted the portability and convenience of a laptop.
I would recommend Asus Notebook before any other laptop.

Excerpt: I went in to buy a Toshiba laptop and came out buying an Asus desktop. It was recommended by the merchant and I was leary about buying it but after bringing it home and using it, I wouldn't have any other laptop. I would recommend it to anyone.
Excerpt: I bought this laptop for myself to replace my old desktop. I had shopped around for awhile, comparing prices with specs and systems. I'm not a computer genius and I tend to use my computer for browsing, online games, email- nothing fancy. The HP pavilians had caught my eye but I decided to go with this laptop instead, and am not regretful at all. With rebates, mypoints, and an extra 10% to the sale price, I ended up paying about $475 for this laptop.
Excerpt: I bought this laptop in February 2010. It was my first laptop that I ever bought. I did a lot of research before buying. I mainly needed the laptop for college, but even for the non college student it is a very good investment. It is worth the price. It has 3 GB of memory, expandable to 4. very fast computer, I was extremely impressed with the display and I still am. It is very easy to set up. I can run several programs at the same time without any problems whatsoever.
Excerpt: this is the greatest laptop (i think) that i have ever purchased. i have had a dell before and it was garbage. this thing is so easy to use it hasnt locked up on me (YET). and i dont believe it will. i wasnt expensive i only paid like 560 bucks for it with the warranty . no i think thats a deal.the sound quality is a little low on some things but other than that i have not found a flaw yet.the battery life is even great and thats something i have never run across.
