I believe I made the right choice when I bought it
11 April 2014
Summary: I'm really happy with it, except I intend to upgrade from the 16 gigs of ram to 32 gigs. I hate the Metro interface, and have installed 'Classic Shell' I like the Graphics card. the fast start-up, the lighted keyboard, and about everything but the 'Microshaft' OS, I would prefer Linux, but have searched the net, and decided I'm not up, to going through the process of getting everything to work, as I'm not skilled enough to solve some of the issues, you may get, even when...
Summary: A absolutely beautiful machine from the moment you turn it on. Quiet fans, never shows signs of struggle multitasking beast and your games can be ran at high graphics without the fans getting loud or anything. Easy to maintain, the interior is extremely easy to get to and clean and/or add parts. The best investment I've made.
Summary: the laptop came with a outdated version of windows 8.0 and the backlit didnt work (were still trying to figure that out) i could not upgrade to windows 8.1 because of the outdated system (also trying to figure THAT out) i could not download java or connect to my microsoft account (im trying to fix that) pros: -good specs -well made chassis -large screen -silent cooling -cool looking (by my standards) cons: -operating system problems -heavy (over 9 pounds) -backlit...
Summary: Looks great works well and runs most games on max/medium settings, but not ALL of'em, which is something i expected off of it. Its 3D mark score was relatively low in its segment as well and it didnt reach the gaming PC benchmark. However. it is priced much lower than other laptops in its segment and has pretty heavy tech-specs so i'm more than satisfied.
Summary: I purchased this model because it was the cheapest model that had the CPU and GPU combination I wanted. I upgraded the hard drives, optical drive, and RAM immediately. This machine is an excellent desktop replacement laptop.
Summary: I have owned this for a number of months now and I absolutely love it, everything I throw at it can be played in max settings, everything from Everquest 2 on 'extreme quality' right up to the yet-to-be-released Elder Scrolls Online, Maximum settings, maximum quality, runs sweet as. My wife recently bought an Alienware 17, and that laptop is NO faster than this once.
Summary: I wasn't looking for a gaming laptop as much as I was looking for a powerful laptop with mobility to move room to room and stow away when not in use. Though I've been using gaming consoles for the last several years (due to frequent bugs and crashes often found in PC games), this laptop has me itching to purchase something like BF4 just to see what it can do. I do not write reviews but depend on them when researching major purchases like this one.
Summary: I've had this laptop since April 2013 and I would gladly say that I have no regrets on purchasing it. Out of the box I was a bit startled to see that it is quite lighter than what I've expected. Initial comment that I had when I powered on the laptop was that 'THEY' were right... the accompanying 5400 1TB HDD was really dragging the system's overall performance.
Great laptop, enough power for gaming and video editing
10 December 2013
Summary: Amazing laptop! It's basically a desktop replacement. All the power you need to render videos, play games or what have you. It boots fast since there is a caching SSD with the large 1TB HDD. The graphics card is good enough you can play all new AAA titles. That's amazing for a laptop. Only downside is it's heavy, but very bearable for a computer like this.
