Pros: The technical specifications and performance of the laptop have met my expectations. I have always been impressed with Asus's products Due to some problems with the laptop, I have not been able to really give it a run yet, I will update the review once the RMA process is complete.
Cons: The cons must originate from either just bad luck or poor QA process. I have had the laptop for less than a day and upon opening it, I could have sworn it was used. There were finger prints all over it, some of the keys were jammed. I was able to wiggle the keys around and place them back into position but the right shift key is randomly responsive. The monitor screen/bezel is very flimsy and wiggles pretty excessively, my previous Asus laptops never had this problem....
Summary: So, I contacted ASUS, and they wanted me to ship the product to their tech center on my dime for the cost of shipping.
Pros: It has great specs, and it mostly delivers until you have hardware problem with the system.
Cons: Battery wouldn't charge. I really liked this product until, it would charge anymore during week 2 of usage. Previous usage times, I didn't notice. The battery always had 87% battery remaining on its tooltip text. I searched around the internet, some said this was normal, and others suggested that I take the battery down to 0% to see what happens. Well, after taking the battery down to 9%, the battery never went above 0% or 1% during recharge cycle.
Pros: There is no throttle issue at all. Beastly GTX 780m. The two mSATA3 ssd's run at an average of 776MB/s read speed and about 550MB/s write speed. Backlit keyboard is nice. Programs open quick, and the cold start up time is about 10 seconds, give or take.
Cons: The only con I have is the fact that you cannot swap the screen out for the 3D 120hz screen. I don't really care about the 3d, but having an optional 120hz display upgrade would be really nice.
