Summary: in overall it is good gaming laptop. Pros: Perfect screen, with no glare. 3D, but I used it couple times. Blu-Ray. Good cooling system. Cons: after one year of usage my processor working on 800 Mhz only. Fixed it only with third-party program. No "Num Lock" button!!! key board working not smooth. problem with Flushing BIOS. But international warranty helped. Anyway I love it! After 18 months my lovely laptop is died... I took it to service and they found died main board.
Summary: I love this computer. It's as simple as that. It looks good as well as performing above and beyond in the gaming realm. While playing your favorite game in Ultra graphics mode, it will play your favorite songs on iTunes without missing a beat. All the while it manages to stay cool with it's two cooling fans and oversized intake/exhaust ports that are very functional and aesthetically pleasing. The 3D modes look great and the GPU doesn't miss a beat all the while.
Summary: The laptop is great. It completely meets my expectations for a powerful entertainment/gaming laptop. My only complaint and reasoning for the four stars would be that it comes loaded with Windows 7 Home in contrast to Professional and the touchpad is buggy as well, to be specific, disabling it has proved challenging.
Summary: This computer replaced my MacBook pro, and while I miss the longer battery life and the lighter/thinner encasement, there are so many upsides to this computer. However, it only gets four stars because of the trackpad and keyboard. The trackpad can be incredibly frustrating. Most of the time it works just fine, but occasionally, the mouse jumps all over the screen and freezes up.
Summary: Bought a recon. model for a few hundred less than RRP. so this might be a touch off what the new systems are like. First off, yeah its a big beast, i bought this as a desktop replacement, and was aware of the size before hand, so its not a negative. But the fact they sell this with a bag that fits it is a huge plus, as finding another bag that will fit it has proved a struggle. It's a decent bag at that.
Summary: I purchased this laptop primarily for home use (heavy). It's a well built laptop. I would suggest updating all of your drivers from the get go. I ran into problems after testing a game for 3D effects. The settings were somehow changed upon exit. You can always go back and reset the settings via the "Nvidia Control Panel - Stereoscopic 3D Display Type". Reset it to "ASUS 3D Vision Laptop" if it happens to you. The 3D is fantastic!
Summary: I've had my dh73-3d for a couple of weeks now and thought I would review it with my initial impressions. My previous system was the HP HDX Dragon, the beast with a 20.1 inch screen and adjustable hinge. In fact, I absolutely love(d) this system with the exception of the outdated graphics card (Nvidia 8800 GTS). Anyone who has ever seen or used the Dragon would agree that it is a unique, well-equipped system.
Summary: This laptop is a beast in terms of performance. It runs most games I've thrown at it at full settings without an issue, and makes an excellent development machine... with three caveats. The keyboard is backlit, which is very nice for typing at night, but it seems to be less responsive than a good keyboard should be.
Satisfied with my Asus, but it still has a couple issues

Summary: I've been using the Asus g74sx for a couple of weeks now, and I think it can be properly assessed. I'll quickly go over the main pros and cons of the machine: Pros: -Awesome specs - i7-2630QM CPU; 12GB memory; two 750 gb HDD; and of course the Geforce GTX 560m (3gb) -These specs run any game or program I've thrown at it (for example, I bought Skyrim for it right when it came; runs beautifully without any crashes, freezes, etc.
Awesome computer - updated to 4 star after 7 months of use, please read and buy an extended warranty.

Summary: Bought this computer in September 2011 I have had this computer for a few months. It is fast, runs cool, and I have had absolutely no problems with it. I play battlefield 3 on a mix of high and ultra settings running at 35 fps, and if i bump it down to just all high settings i get 40 to 50 fps. I also play skyrim maxed out on video settings and the game runs flawlessly at high fps. Great computer, easy to upgrade.
