Summary: This is an amazing gaming laptop for the price! I bought this at a time when my previous laptop croaked, and I was a bit tight for money. Most people don't exactly have a gaming laptop pop into their head when they need a rig, and are tight for money, but I am almost always on the go, so a desktop...
Summary: This is a really good gaming laptop. It's powerful and runs really well. The extras such as back lit keyboard is also very nice. So why did I give it 2 stars? That's just because of 1 critical thing, "YOU CANNOT ACCESS THE CPU WITH OUT TAKING THE COMPUTER APART". Let me explain.
Summary: I've had this since fall 2011, and it is still running strong. The keyboard and trackpad aren't great but I don't use them unless I'm traveling. Also, the power socket started shorting out on me after a year, and ASUS fixed it free of charge.
Pros: Fast, Great build quality, great for gaming and pretty powerful as a workstation. Crazy ventilation.
Cons: ctrl key wore out after two years, now I use an external. Huge(if you need to be portable). trackpad is worthless (I use a mouse anyway)
Summary: She has survived a lot of bumps over the period. One of the best laptops ever. However the screen has started to have a lot of dead pixels in the last 3 months. Might have to replace it. There is a slight boot issue as well. You might want to blow the dust off once in a while.
Summary: There are some common issues with the G series of Asus laptops. Issues I've had include: Mouse-pad sensitivity went haywire and my left palm would make it go crazy. Had to disable it completely. Also, Power jack frequently goes out.
