Summary: As some put it getting this is "Refurbished Roulette " for the most part people seem to be getting good systems or they do not know what they are doing, I got one that looks like new and works GREAT. I have had this for two weeks now and as far as gaming goes it is a Beast. There is a website that you can go to and see if your system will run certain games and I checked out a few more I was thinking about getting and it says they will all run smooth.
Summary: I just got the machince, it hasn't even been an hour. mine has not a single scratch on it. it's very clean!! the only thing is the dvd drive is cheaply fixed but beyond that, i love it! heats up like a mother load but what would you expect from a beast like this? I got the black one!
Summary: when i was buying this laptop i just went off of the info from the page, and knowing abit about computers could tell this was a very good deal. however what i didnt realize what just how good a deal i was getting. the page failed to mention this is a gameing laptop and that it has a backlit keyboard and special lighting on the lid and, not as special, a built in mic and webcam.
Summary: My machine is a refurbished one. Just like new.I had to reload the operating system through Asus tech.assistance. Fine after that. No biggie. The computer is blazing fast....graphics are really good and the altec speakers some how throws sound behind you like 3D sound. If you game it plays like lightning.Machine is heavy and makes quite a bit of heat. Get a cool mat for it.Has comfortable key board with back lighting.Best machine I have seen for 799 refurbished.
Summary: This. Laptop. Is. Superb. So first of all, the specs are awesome, I'm running all kinds of games (SC2, vindictus, both relatively graphics intensive) at high settings with flawless graphics. The 7200 rpm / 500 gig HDD is awesome because it starts up fast, loads files fast, and has plenty of storage space.
Summary: At first I didn't really enjoy the fact I couldn't run my games at max. But boy was I wrong, just had to go into the CPU settings and set turbo extreme up. I can now run BFBC2 at max settings its insane, its like 60+FPS. Love the purchase. but I do suggest a cooling pad. the system runs really hot when its doing this, but the pad pulls great heat from it.
Summary: I bought this lap top after a VERY long search online for the best computer for how much I was willing to spend. My budget was $850, and I was willing to buy either a laptop OR a desktop. I wanted something that was portable because I play games at my friends house's all the time. I also wanted something that can play the games I like to play Games.
Summary: I've been using an old Toshiba laptop for a long time, and it was time I upgraded. I'll start with what I was looking for: a powerful gaming laptop that I could still use for school. I certainly got what I asked for. It's positives are obvious at the very start. Its i5 processor and 4gb of ram make it lightning fast, this is in comparison to my friend's desktop that has several thousand dollars piled into it.
Summary: This G60JX was top of the line laptop less than a year ago. For less than $800, I think this is a very good deal. Here are the pros and cons I find so far: Pros: 1) Comes with 4Gb DDR3 Kingston Ram and let alone it costs $100+. 2) Then there comes the Geforce GTS350M (with CUDA) - so far I can run Company of Heros - Tales of Valor smoothly which I can't when I used my old laptop (Core Duo with 8400GS). 3) Backlighted Keyboard. Handy when used in the dark.
Summary: I did plenty of research and thinking about the decision to purchase this laptop and I finally bought it. I could not be happier with this Asus machine. The graphics card is a great addition to the other awesome features this laptop has. The facial recognition is a neat way to log on to the computer. This machine looked brand new and met every one of my expectations.
