  • Summary: I have only owned 2 laptops however i have a nerd for a friend. and at the moment the video card is first class, not super top of the line but a very awesome deal for the price of this computer. it runs very well and I've even been playing diablo III on it and it is pretty amazing.

Incredible Laptop

kibblez, Amazon
1 June 2012
  • Summary: I've had this laptop for close to two weeks now and it has performed spectacularly. I've played ArmA II, Darksiders, Dear Esther and Diablo III all on the highest settings, and this laptop has no trouble at all with them - and without getting hot. That's right, it did not even get warm.

Amazing so far

Brett, Amazon
14 May 2012
  • Summary: I read over the other reviews and I was worried something may happen to my laptop like theirs. I figured I'd give it a shot regardless since I needed a new gaming laptop and this one was perfect for my needs. If anything I could fall back on the warranty and it would be fine.

  • Summary: I became a fan of ROG computers after i did my first purchase (g51jx), selecting it over an alienware based on cost/benefit. Since then, i now choose it for its quality. I will do a quick review, just to give my opinion!

Best 15" G-series yet

Trevor M., Newegg
15 December 2011
  • Summary: Never going back to a desktop for gaming if Asus continues to build these.
  • Pros: Smokin' hot rig...playing high res on all games with no hesitation thanks to the Nvidia GTX560. 12 GB RAM installed with a free slot! Core i7 with a nice sized drive. This is my second G-series and it blows the doors off Alienware as far as value and price go. Chassis/case is rugged and of good q...

Simply Amazing

Rashid M., Newegg

  • Summary: )
  • Pros: This Laptop is great. It has an amazing performance. I boot to both Windows and Linux on it. With Corsair SSD used as boot device, Win 7 boots in ~10 secs, Ubuntu - 5 to 6 seconds. :):) Of course there are not very many drivers for it on linux, but still ubuntu manages its resources well. No anno...
  • Cons: I am very pleased with this machine, I am programmer BTW and this machine meets all my expectations and beyond!! There are still few minor issues though: - No blue ray drive :) (hyst my whim) - Only 1 hdmi out :) (Wanted to use dual separate screens) - More capacitive battery would be appreciated...

Amazing

Christian S., Newegg
7 October 2011
  • Summary: Best computer I've ever owned. Asus has the best Windows computers out there.
  • Pros: It is quite powerful. I custom-ordered mine through Xotic-PC, so It's not quite the stock Asus. Mine has 14gb ram and a backup harddrive at 640 gb. And bluray. Otherwise it is the same computer. Things i have to say: power levels are epic, but it REALLY does need a SSD instead of an HDD. I'm swit...
  • Cons: Solid State would work great. Could use a little nicer case that doesn't show fingerprints. Volume can be quiet.
