Summary: Lets see, I ordered this for Christmas, this being my first laptop of this kind I had stars in my eyes, but it would soon probably be my last ASUS purchase. Within a few months of using it, mostly for old PC games the screen died, just refused to respond to any sort of input. Sent it back, got it back a few months later, next time the AC adapter snapped off, again sent it back.
laptop not as advertised on ebay, not a functioning laptop as shipped.

Summary: The laptop came with no drivers loaded, not a functioning laptop, I then had to put $200.00 into tech support to get up and running. At that point too much invested to return. up side, now a fast laptop, just spent too much.
Summary: As this series of laptop ages, it is coming to light that the DC jack (where the power cord enters the computer) has a serious design flaw. The DC jack pin (the part of the jack that transfers power from the power cord to the computer) is much too thin and often breaks off within a year. This results in a computer that cannot be charged. To make matters worse, apparently Asus has received so many repair requests for this part that it is on indefinite backorder.
10 months later, it's still not working. What does ASUS say? Send it back, we'll try to fix it again.

Summary: I work on a ship, don't have access to regular mail. I got this before heading out to sea, and it broke 2 weeks later. ASUS suggested re-installing windows, which did nothing. Sent it in upon my return, and does ASUS fix it? Oh, they fixed one problem, only to have another the same day. What's their solution? RE-INSTALL WINDOWS, of course! I bit the bullet and did that...nothing happened, the problem was not fixed. I called them back, and what's their solution?
Summary: I purchased this refurbished from Amazon and couldn't help but wonder who would want to give up such a nice laptop. It's got beautiful lines, with that stealth fighter look. And it positively screams when it does work. But it suffers from a video driver issue. I've tried the latest driver via nVidia and through Asus. I tried reverting to the original driver. The only way it will play a YouTube video is though Chrome, which I hate.
Summary: I have purchased this laptop 5 months ago and I must say that I am rather disappointed with the product. Firstly I have to say that the main reason why I bought this computer was for the fact that it had a "global" warranty. I have just found out that this global warranty does not cover Brazil, where I live. When your warranty does not include the world's fifth largest country both by population and economic output, I believe that you cannot call it global.
Summary: Bad build quality. Let's begin my story with ASUS when I purchased this computer last year. I have always used ASUS motherboards in my computers because of their high performance, so I decided that their laptop would be suitable for my needs. I originally looked at Alienware, but decided that ASUS gaming computers had more performance in my price range. Since I have received this computer it has been nothing, but a nightmare.
Summary: I have now had this computer now for 8 months and i have had nothing but problems with this system. The first problem I had with it came the same day i got my computer and that was the power source didn't work. Amazon made it very easy to return the item and they got me another computer within a week. than less then three months later my CD drive broke on me. I sent it back and got another one.
