Summary: I had to delete a lot of the bloatware and update the BIOS to 206 to avoid the GSOD (Gray Screen of Death)/BSOD errors people were having. Updating the BIOS was pretty easy. Just download BIOS206, and use the EZ Flash utility. DO NOT upgrade to the 207/208 BIOS, it will disable your bluetooth. But I've been playing Starcraft 2 for 3 hours straight and it haven't BSOD/GSOD yet.
Summary: It's a very fast machine and display vivid graphic work. Though I put heavy weight and short battery life as cons, it is kind of unavoidable for a powerful machine like this. Very happy with it. Just wish it will last for a long time.
Pros: Comfortable Keyboard, Fast, Great Value, Powerful, Quality Display, Quiet
Summary: I bought this computer for the purpose of playing upper-end games with heavy graphics demands and also for typical demands as a college student. As a gaming computer, it contains everything you need from a mid-high level gaming PC and runs most new games on good to great graphics settings, but it runs a bit hot so you need a cooler. It definitely handles anything you need to do at college, whether just typing or for multimedia purposes as a digital arts student.
Summary: Bottom line: I have been nothing but pleased with this laptop. I thought that I might not like the 1920 x 1080 resolution on a 15.6" screen, but the built-in DPI scaling of Windows 7 makes it work. Text is extremely crisp and very readable. The backlit keyboard is very cool for using the laptop in bed or a dark room. The unit is extremely quiet but I don't get the feeling. It runs a little hot but that is to be expected from such a powerhouse.
Summary: This laptop is the best deal out there. Nothing from any other vendor with the same specs comes within the price range of this model. This is probably because ASUS makes their own components. Inside most other name-brand laptops, you'll find ASUS parts. With an overclockable Core i7, GTS360M graphics, 6Gb Memory, 500 GB HDD, this was a screaming bargain when I bought it. It's even better now with the rebate.
Pros: Fast, HD Graphics, Powerful, Quality Display, Quiet
Summary: First time buying ASUS notebook but the best notebook at a very competitive price. I was looking for a notebook with a very good resolution with i7 processor, initially bought HP dv6t Quad Ed, but the resolution was an issue, so had to return it, then came across this machine and really liked it. Its bit heavy, not a very good battery life, 6 cell battery does not last more than an hour or so but that is expected keeping in mind the specs.

Pros: ottimo come portatile
Cons: forse il prezzo, ma li vale tutti quei soldi
