Asus G50V

CNET
4 October 2009
  • Summary: The affordable, gaming-oriented Asus G50V delivers playable frame rates in a portable, 15.4-inch case. If not for a 17-inch gamer from Gateway, we'd say this Asus laptop is an unbeatable value.
  • Pros: Affordable price; attractive case design includes LED lights; 10-key number pad; near-1080p display resolution; combined 500GB of storage space; Express Gate software lets you access media and the Web without booting Windows; laptop comes with external mouse and carrying case.
  • Cons: Woeful battery life; poor speakers; lacks hardware media controls.

ASUS G50V Review

LAPTOP Magazine
19 September 2008
  • Summary: Although the ASUS G50V's scores are very good for a 15.4-inch notebook, customers should think seriously about the Gateway P-7811FX, which has better raw performance scores and costs $300 less while delivering a larger display. While the Gateway is heavier and has worse wireless performance, it lasts 42 minutes longer on a charge. But if you dig a profile that more resembles a mainstream computer, and flashing lights for some LAN party wowing, check out the ASUS G50V.

Asus G50v

PriceRunner
3 December 2008
  • Excerpt: The Asus G50v may well be the best gaming laptop on the market, but can it really match the competition when it comes to the other functions?
  • Pros: For gaming on the go there is simply no better laptop at the moment than the G50v. This 3.3kg laptop packs in a NVIDIA Geforce 9700M GT card – the best single-card solution there is. All round performance is stunning, courtesy of the Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 and 4GB of RAM.
  • Cons: The keyboard is a good size, but you’ll find the keys tend to rattle and feel loose as you type. There’s a Blu-ray drive built in, but the screen only has a 1366×768-pixel resolution, so it’s not Full HD.

ASUS G50V – když chcete hrát hry na notebooku

DigiWorld
29 September 2009
