Summary: I bought mine for a steal around Cyber Monday and it was first DOA due to a faulty power supply, so i had to pay shipping to send it back for a replacement. I was fortunate enough to receive a functioning one and instantly changed the slow HDD to an SSD to avoid future hard drive failures which took a while due to no easy access.
Pros: -Decent high end class 2 video card in a laptop for this price
Summary: For the price, this computer has its wonders. I've tried a couple games and some run better than others. Full max settings aren't possible all the time, but hey, for this deal and portability, I took it. Heck, I'm not one for max graphics anyway, so this thing works like a charm as long as it can play the games. And since it can play games, it does other things well.
Summary: This machine's performance has been a delightful surprise, and the "Scratch and Dent" is hardly noticeable, at least on my machine. Surprisingly capable as a gaming rig, handling anything less than the latest without a hitch.
Summary: This is my second G46VW. My wife owns the first one with the i5 3210, this one comes with the i5 3230. 100mhz cpu speed increase is not noticeable, but the ability to install 1600 memory in the future because of this cpu will be fantastic. I debated the refurb for almost 2-3 months before taking the plunge. I am not regretful in any way, shape or form.
Pros: $650.00 for this laptop is a steal. Cooling is phenomenal, and the laptop runs flawless.
Cons: Windows 8 on a non touch-screen device is and always will be a joke. This is a refurb and it came with a few scuffs on the ruberized lid. Nothing too horrible, it just looks slightly, and I mean VERY slightly used. for $350 savings, it's not a big deal.
