Summary: I bought two of these for my kids, and they work fine. The warnings are about your expectations, not the product: It is not a high-end, powerful laptop (my son could not run Minecraft on it), so consider beefing up the memory at least to get better utility out of it. The other warning is that Microsoft Windows 8 is a shameful and pathetic piece of garbage (how do you have $75 billion in the bank in cash, and come up with this? Really!
Summary: I purchased this for my mother in law who has never used a computer but loves playing games on my computer when she visits. The computer itself is great but I dont recommend Windows 8 to anyone. It is very difficult to use. The packaging was great, the computer is very easy to use itself. Great buy for the money so far.
Great computer for the money, but don't upgrade to Windows 8.1.

Summary: I've had this computer for a couple of months and am basically very pleased, especially for the price. You pretty much have to add more ram to get a decent speed from the computer (runs fine with 4 gig). It took a few days to get used to Windows 8. The only problem I've had was when I upgraded to Windows 8.1--when you close the lid and put the computer to sleep, it won't start back up when you open the lid.
