Summary: When buying a computer, it's essential to consider what you expect it to do, and choose one that will meet your requirements. Two key specifications are the processor speed and the memory (RAM), as these are the keys to computer speed and overall performance. This ASUS laptop is budget-priced, low-performance device. Note that the processor is only 1.8 gHz, and memory only 2 mb.
Summary: There are several things I like about this computer. The size and windows 8 There is an annoyance that I hate about this computer. When I type the cursor defauts back to the beginning of the sentence.or the middle of the sentence. I can't tell you how many times throughout my day that I go through this. It happened just now. I haven't identified the why yet. This computer is functional and performs my day to day routine.
Summary: Laptop has it's ups: -Good battery life -Solid build -Fast (after removing bloat) But it has it's downs: -Need to remove bloat ware for it to be usable (very slow at first) -Heavy -TOUCHPAD JITTERS WHILE CHARGING
Summary: I purchased this laptop as a cheap light duty travel computer. It is just that. The price was right Amazon delivered in a timely manner. Window 8 is the worst I've ever worked with and will replace it with and older operating system. The processor is a little slow but will meet my requirements for word processing and email.
Fine for the price/value - but mouse and number pad are annoying

Summary: Powerful laptop and performance is great for the price. Two annoyances though now that I've had this for over 3 months. The mouse is a little finicky and I'm not sure if this is tied to windows 8 (is there a special swipe gesture on the touch pad that causes switching back and forth between open windows????), as certain movements on the touch pad cause the screen to switch to another window.
Summary: Laptop works great but I would buy the Windows 7 version if I had the chance again. Laptop is being primarily used by a school teacher for Microsoft Office and minimal DVD burning and has lived up to expectations. Microsoft 8 is extremely confusing and not intuitive for someone who has been using earlier versions of Windows.
Performance is ok, but don't count on their website for support

Summary: Santa got this for my daughter and paid only $320 for it. She likes it and and Santa liked the price. I dock this 2 stars because when I went to the asus website for support and entered the model number I got Zero hits. I guess this model wasn't expensive enough for ASUS to give a good goshdarn. This computer is acceptable for streaming Amazon Prime videos and playing Angry Birds.
