RAM not upgradable, AVOID!

asdanzig, Ebay
11 March 2013
  • Summary: These netbooks in my opinion are nearly not usable with 1 GB of RAM. The problem with this model is that you can not upgrade the RAM. The RAM is soldered to the motherboard, and is not upgradable. At the time of purchase, you could have chosen to buy the 2GB model. I would avoid this model. I have many of the other ASUS EEE netbooks, all upgraded to 2GB of RAM and they work great. This model, not my first choice.

  • Excerpt: In my mind, this computer is the real definition of a laptop computer. Why do people buy laptop computers? For portability. They want to be able to take the computer wherever they go, and have the ability to pull the computer out and have a computer on their lap …

Very good value for money

  • Excerpt: Bought one for my mum for her birthday and seen as it was at such a rock bottom price i ordered one for myself later the same day. Both arrived within 24hrs of ordering, fantastic. Ran a little slow at start as i just did a general set up, however once i removed some of the extra programming that i was never going to use it ran great. I did not expect a super fast laptop because i was aware of the price but nevertheless the laptop is great value for money.

Well, hmm, yes and no.....

Essexgreenman, Amazon
9 July 2013
  • Summary: At first I loved this netbook. It is so small and light and the keyboard is somehow large enough to be able to speed-type normally. And the battery life is really good: 8 hours comfortably, so fine for a whole day on a train, in meetings, etc. However, it very soon started to become very slow. No-one can figure why (yes, I've tried various diagnostics), it just seems to be the way it is.

Worst. Computer. Ever.

Yoni's Tech Shop, Amazon
30 October 2012
  • Summary: I bought this netbook back in March for the main reason that I would be using it to type up documents and work in school. It does that just fine, so if you're the kind of person that wants to spend £180 or however much for a device to type documents on, feel free to click "order" above, and leave. I do advise you to read my review though. At the time of purchase, this was about £230. Ridiculously expensive and an absolute rip off. I've pretty much pushed it to the limit.
